Recommendations for Leather Shoes

I find that my new leather shoes feel very tight and slightly uncomfortable when I wear them. Is this normal, and will it get better after it is worn for a while?

I remember during army, wearing the boots for the first time was also quite uncomfortable, until it got seasoned. Should be similar for leather shoes too right? My shoes are the correct size as they fit me well, the next size would be slightly loose.

ya need to break-in period for the shoes to mould to your feet den not pain liao

Just use Kiwi. Cheap and good, although it probably stinks.

If you don't mind spending more on polish then get Saphir. That stuff is fantastic and smells great. I shower myself with it everyday.

Avoid instant shine products. Polish wax and cream works well because they both produce different kinds of shine.

Wax polish is recommended more because it provides a protective layer against moisture and scratches.

Regular Kiwi best.

I guess my opinion differs from Kiton as I believe that if you only have 1 product to use, it should be shoe cream, rather than shoe wax.

Shoe wax doesn't penetrate the leather as deeply, thus it doesn't moisturise the leather as much as shoe cream, and dry leather is prone to cracking, gouges & scratches. Over time, the wax builds up and will flake off and crack, which is unsightly to say the least.

Shoe cream formulation is a lighter blend of waxes and oils, allowing it to penetrate the leather more effectively, rather than just sitting on the surface.

You can try the Dasco range of shoe creams, or Collonil which is available from Master Fix Services (at Paragon and other locations).

Instant shoe shine products usually contain silicone which prematurely dries out the leather.

To add on, i was advised by someone in this forum that the creams used for car leather seats works and I tried. So far, so good. And it's definitely a cheaper alternative moisturiser than shoe cream.

Oh my feet small but wide, i order 6.5. Though i wear size 6 for clarks, i am being KS to order 6.5. But its ok just nice. Think it i order size 6 would be very fitting.

Always wonder how Zalora profit from shoes such as loake. The uk site is like selling a model for 140 pounds but we can get it for like S$179 - 199 for the same model?

not sure if its a system glitch or not but i have doubt that it is really a restock. i ordered once and they email me the next day telling me it is out of stock. i too tried again this morning when i saw the 9.5 in stock. but looking at the stock with only size 8 left I am quite sure it is the same glitch again.

Not sure about this particular brand. I forgot which brand is mine. The one I used comes in a clear plastic bottle, white cap and the conditioner is light creamy yellow. Bought it in a DIY hardware store.
