Weather forecast is no 100% mah, its could have variations....infact the midnight till morning temperature is from about 1 deg to minus...so it may snow.

Just to do a little correction regarding hotels, I'm going with Genting Holidays and was promised the following:

2 nights stay in Sorak Daemyung Resort
1 night stay in 4 stars hotel in seoul
1 night upgrade stay in 5 to 6 stars hotel in seoul.

So there's never 3 stars hotel given

i went there too to check their price last month, was told the same, but if you check their hotel that they are giving online, they are actually 3 stars, but defintely 1 night will be 5stars.

This is because they are refering to 4 stars hotel at their local country standards, but it is actually a 3stars hotel for international standard.

Anyway I saw their brochures of hotel they are providing and they seems okay. Some of my friends going with Genting and came back has no complain about the hotels too

My thinking was if you could save a few hundred bucks with just the hotel diff and you probably be out whole day and return just to sleep...why not? hehe.

Anyway there are still overheads of renting ski equipments and tiping etc.

yes, their 5 or 6 stars, can actually be a 4-5 stars also.
even if stay in 3 stars also not bad, at least you have your own toilet,
unlike those 1 star hotel with share toilet. Even when i go oversea, i also book 3 stars hotel.
not to worry about hotel as it is for sleeping only.
i am sure you will enjoy your trip with genting.

pls lar you are not going there for business ... those on business stay 5 star because they can use the facilities and cant go out to sightseeing so often... You join our group you want to use their facilities or you want to go out sightseeing and shopping?

The tip about money changing especially over holiday period is don't wait till last min thinking that you will get a better rate??..wrong. Infact money changers are also business man making money, holidays season usually has plenty of travellers so it is time to "chop" them. Exchange rates during holiday season is lesser and lesser as it approaches the holidays.

So its advisable to change at least a week in advanced.
