I will just probably take a crash course from Preston's YouTube videos (The Elegant Oxford) and scrub the Mister Minit dog puke finish with acetone and saddle soap and play with dye and black burgundy patina finish of my own design. I will post photos here when I'm done.. Hahaha

Share pics after collection if you can, of the inner sole. I suspect Mister Mint will sew through the inner sole to the outer sole.

Yes indeed.. sewn right through the inside of the shoes..
So resole with Mister Minit? Nah, not recommended.

recently just resole my beckmans.. this is my fourth wear after the resole. Cost about 95 bucks.

the resole job looks decent.

meanwhile, i just keep breaking the boot. beckmans is very tough to break.

Inner sole has no problem..inner sole should be same for all boots right??

I am no expert, so arent exactly sure the correct correct technique. But this is sewing through the soles liao right? And TBH, the sewing looks kind of... This may mean it won't be as water resistant/proof as before liao...
They also didnt bother to paint the layers to give it a more finished look. This is why i say local standards arent up to par yet. I wonder why till date Red Wing Singapore still stubborn don't have a proper place/pax to do the job. I know they mention they do provide inhouse service at a premium, but so far I never heard of anyone giving feedbacks, so am skeptical too...

The stitches do kinda look too far in to still be GYW. A proper GYW recrafted Beckman should look like this

Then should be like what sinistral said in the previous post, hand sewn through the GYW, thus a lack of consistency.

So we can assume Red Wing in-house service is better than shukey? At least they don't see through the insoles. But the stitching quality is kinda scary though ...

Tempted to get one for rainy-season as my sneakers get wet which is bummer for me. Are boots too warm for SG weather in the hot and humid months though?

And looking at the sloppy stitching, can tahan one year thread don't break very lihai liao.

use until picha, then buy another one.
get a blacksmith instead. it kinda looks like a beckman on a vibram sole.
