Seems to come with a preapplied screen protector, do I remove it first to apply screen gel?

Idk what happened, just a black screen with dBs, paylah, tracetog, singpass .... Maybe its mi mover problems when migrating from note 9... Cc apps citi, sc, HSBC OK...
Spend 5hrs yesterday nite reset and reinstall all apps....will ki-xiao if paylah still cannot work...

black screen is due to
1. incompatible app
2. data corruption

For security reasons, banking apps have build in measures to prevent you transferring apk from phone to phone. Some less secured one will force a re-authentication if the apps detect a hardware/biometric-data change.

So, my best advise is to do a fresh install (it only takes a few seconds of ur life) from playstore again to ensure it's fully working again.

So far i use mi mover few times no problem but ya likely corrupted apps lor
Usually factory reset will solve most xiaomi problem
Sometimes new phone will have FW issue de, for xiaomi only

Try a fresh install from playstore. Bank app cannot work is a deal breaker .

Before setup new phone, backup everything from your old phone to google drive. When power on new phone, will see an option to setup from your backup on google drive. I did that on my Poco X3 Pro and everything was good including banking apps. The only downside was to rearrange your apps and sign-in to setup all the shopping apps cos I did not want to save all my passwords on Goggle.
