I was actually quoting the previous guy saying you could get Mi 8 Lite at S$370 as a promotion and I was trying to say no need to go to the small shops for that promotion now that official shops got the S$369 price already.
On the other hand, IMHO Mi brand is still better than Redmi brand so I do think Mi 8 Lite is a better buy if Redmi Note 7 would cost S$329 on the same basis — global ROM and local warranty.
Our Mi Max 1 is still working well now.

$50 lesser but is better than mi8lite in almost every aspect. Except the assumption that the parent brand makes better phone.
At 370 I will pay 50 more to get Poco F1(SD845).
