I was actually quoting the previous guy saying you could get Mi 8 Lite at S$370 as a promotion and I was trying to say no need to go to the small shops for that promotion now that official shops got the S$369 price already.

On the other hand, IMHO Mi brand is still better than Redmi brand so I do think Mi 8 Lite is a better buy if Redmi Note 7 would cost S$329 on the same basis — global ROM and local warranty.

Our Mi Max 1 is still working well now.

$50 lesser but is better than mi8lite in almost every aspect. Except the assumption that the parent brand makes better phone.

At 370 I will pay 50 more to get Poco F1(SD845).

I would like to highlight another advantage of pocophone vs redmi note 7 or lower end model beside the cpu.. It is the faster speed storage.. Ufs2.1.. I compare opening of apps with Sd636 max 3 the differences are very obvious. Even for booting up. I m not sure mi8 SE or mi9 SE version using Ufs2. 1 or higher like their big bros.. If using same as note 7 then no point buying.

Can sure get 64gb pocophome at least below 400..use Q10 coupons etc.. Beside that u are getting minimum 6gb ram and ufs 2.1 storage.. Better cpu.. Better ddr ram type

Mi 9 SE uses UFS 2.1 like its bigger bro.

I was looking up on the storage speed for the few mentioned Mi/redmi phones, but it seems like its not commonly found online de wor. I do appreciate the storage speed may be impt as it helps to load photos faster, play games less lag.

Comparing models like:
Redmi Note 7 / Pro
Pocophone F1
Mi8 Lite

Xiaomi phones only flagship models like the Mi 6/7/8/9 and Mix 1/2/2s/3 etc have NFC. Xiaomi Note 2/3 also have NFC. You can say only Xiaomi Note 3 is not a flagship among them.

Other than that none of the Redmi phones have NFC, Pocophone F1 does not have NFC either.

Note 7 and pro using emmc 5.1, Poco using ufs 2.1 , mi8 lite can't seems to find any info but most likely emmc 5.1

Yeah , ufs 2.1 is very important. I rather have a slower sd636 w ufs 2.1 than a faster 660/670 with emmc 5.1. it's like desktop i7 with HDD vs i5 with SSD all over again
