I believe they recently enter SG market. There is a narval SG website selling certain model. So far from various china review, they are the best among in obstacle detection.
I got different conclusion from my research, seems that Dreame tends to have the best navigation and object detection, but narwhal has the best anti entanglement by far for their side brushes and roller, even the latest roborock cannot win them at anti entanglement. And I found this taobao shop, free shipping to sg woohoo!
But cannot share link here, oh well. But fyi, the problem with narwhal bought from China direct is that they lock the app functions overseas, you can only operate via buttons on the station or robot, so buyer beware.

Ordered Narwhal J5 liao, the auto water topup and drain version, plus 三通 to share washing machine and dirty water drainage. Cross fingers and hope Taobao honor their >$99 free shipping offer.

This video using prev gen j4 already better than the rest. R10, j5, 001max even better at vacuum power, mopping, drying inside the dust collection pouch, dust compaction, anti entanglement of side brushes as well as main brush

Dreame for me. previously tried roborock.
Which model are you using ?

Previously I tried steam mopping. 100C but already disappointing.

Without detergent, I don't think it will be that clean.

I'm shortlisting the dreame L40.

From what I understand, detergent is to wash the mop pads at the dock only.

Robo doesn't use detergent to mop the floor.

My steam cleaner is the karcher hand held type. Uses steam, cloth and hand to mop. I find this method not so clean. Yeah steam is 100C.

Has anyone tried diying stuff to improve your robot vacuum?
I feel like extending the side brush length so that the corners are better cleaned., and also my past experience is that the side brushes wear out super fast, so if wanna save money, maybe find some way to securely stuff in newer longer bristles from brooms etc when the original wears out, then hopefully can double the usage life
Also add a side duster to remove fur/web/dust along the wall bottom

hi, dont think its for that purpose only. :ROFLMAO:

also not apple-to-apple to compare a handheld with a robot. i must say if you are not happy if a handheld steam cleaner, i dont think any robot in the market can do better than that.

Extended side crush might interfere with the main wheel. Most of them are already brushing into the wheel. If you need better corner sweeping, probably upgrade to one with extendable arm.
