eh...dun take it the wrong way, i'm talking about Galaxy S....Beam wise I'm not sure. 512mb rom is what I read from the specs.

I think it's the same as galaxy s,after installing many apps, now I got 1.5GB available space for app storage.

Hey people, I rooted my Beam today :D So hav access to all the better apps needing root access!~

I did some research and the OMAP3440 (beam cpu) is capable of reaching 1.2ghz on overclock! Sadly I was not able to do this because I would need a custom kernel to put it anywhere above 720mhz :(. I'm pretty sure at 1~1.2ghz it will be very snappy!

So the Beams been rooted?

If I root my Beam, then can I fix it myself if it freezes? I am considering import, but holding off until freeze issue can be fixed without taking it to shop (I am in another country).

it shares a similar exploit to a whole host of other phones (n1, some htc etc). the same exploit does not work on Galaxy S but works on Beam :)

Phone is very snappy after installing some memory root access app that natively sets the threshold for android itself to kill tasks. no need for ATK anymore :)

unfortunately until someone comes up with a kernel for beam 2.1 to allow overclocking beyond 720mhz we won't be seeing any blazing fast performance :(

I've been on the latest firmware since last Friday... I on/off the phone for more than 10 times and it doesn't freeze during start up! I guess da freezing issue is "most likely" fixed! At least I dun worry about shuting it down now...

heard that starhub got no stock till end of the month and price will increase by $100 when restocked.
no stock is due to shortage of SUPER AMOLED screen.
