you guys keep assuming we are getting the exynos 1280 in our a53 ... but no...
we are getting the exynos 1200 in our local listings. you can refer to samsung's shopee listing. the samsung SG website also did not specify we are getting the 1280 ...

i have been waiting for this for months and even gave the a52s a miss but it appears a53 is a huge downgrade ... considering the $150 price increase, a slower processor (exynos 1200 vs the 778g in a52s), similar camera set, missing charger ...
i really do not like how samsung SG is sneaky about this and misguiding us to think we are getting the same chip as per what is globally released. we naturally assumed we are getting the exynos 1280 and yet we are paying the same price as the global set but receiving a cheaper chip with poorer performance. isn't this similar to how they sneakily throttled the s22?
