I'm very happy with the Galaxy Ace except the battery life.. Fortunately the battery can be replaced. Any idea where can I buy it and how much does it cost?

I'm paying ~$29 as well, with 12GB data included. That's possible if you have 5 lines with M1 and receive 35% discount on their Value plan.

1) Low end phone, slow processor, don't expect too much.

2) Nothing to do with screen resolution.

Good news to share, been exploring n reading up forums regarding this 720p mp4 issue.

Although Samsung officialy told me Ace can only play 3GP & mp4 (lower than 720p) movies, found 3rd party players free fr Android Market to help cross the boundary:

1. rmvb = use Moboplayer
2. mp4 720p = use QQplayer

Realplayer & Rockplayer didn't seem tat ideal but can try try but lags abit for the above.

And been testing Android games, seem like those graphic intensive 3D / high res texture ones like Pocket Legends, Gun Bros & Dungeon Defenders : First Wave will either failure to install, or installed but hang or lag bad.

Games like Mega Jump will install successfully but when u reach the playing screen, it will say something like "need resolution higher, your display can't support".

But other than these, most of the other games seem ok, can play on Ace.

games and multimedia do sucks on ace...as i'd got other ios devices for entertainment...i got the $0 ace to help manage my daily work routine and i found it serves me well...

my Galaxy ACE's camera function something wrong, seems like in locked mode.

can open camera but tap anyway no response. can see a small "lock" logo at top right corner.


tried Google but not much help.

does anyone have problems enabling the wireless tethering or wifi sometimes? i get the status 'Error' showing up and have to restart the phone before i can enable them again. it's getting annoying.

It's an update to your Android phone, that's a bunch of new features and make your phone faster. Gingerbread is just a name for Android 2.3. The one you're currently using now is Froyo or Android 2.2.
