For me no contest. The pixel watch's proprietary watch band and locking of data and functions behind fitbid premium paywall just reeks of cash grab. Fitbit integration is the pixel watch main selling point. But for a watch that wants you to track everything in your daily life, they go use such a small capacity battery resulting in such garbage battery life. Only thing the pixel watch beats the galaxy watch, and this is even debatable, is that the pixel watch has a more sleek design. Once again Google has proven that the first generation or iteration of their products tend to be a flop, even though they are already so so late into the smartwatch market.
yeah. when i heard about the paywall, needing to pay when you need further stats about your exercise and sleep, it was a turn-off. My Samsung watch 4, comes with full access. Even apple watch too, you bought the watch at a premium price, yet still, need pay subscription

Did some further testing with nfc payment on the watch 5. Base on my experience, when scan and checkout at supermarket or fast food outlets, its 100% success rate without issue. However, scanning at mrt gantry or on buses are more problematic and finnicky. Quite a few times i have encountered "card failed" or "this didn't work" error with an exclamation mark displayed on my watch. It could not be an issue with the watch since i have no problems using nfc payment elsewhere.

So i was trying see if there is a best "position" to place the watch on the gantry scanner. What i find is that if you place the "12 o'clock" edge of the watch face near to the top portion of the scanner, i manage to consistently get successful scan. Your watch does not need to phsyically come into contact with the scanner. Just bring it near will do. But this is for Mrt gantries and i have yet to try out this method on bus scanners.

Please be careful or best do not buy this galaxy watch 5 pro if you have OCD about scratches. I've been a user of the watch for less than a month. There have been so many obvious scratches on the watch itself due to the material that was being made. I have no complain about the technology used but the material use is really not worth so much. Felt that they have not properly did their research on the material or they most properly are using a very low quality of titanium hence the scratches. Here are some photo for your reference.

Have bring it to the service center and email their CEO, all they can say is they have no idea how the scratches happened and therefore they deemed it as cosmetic. I need to reemphasis again. I have only use the watch for BARELY A MONTH. Buy at your own risk.

Its anodized titanium. The scratches occurred on the layer of coating on the surface, not onto the metal itself. There is some sort of perpetuated myth that titanium is indestructible. If anything, titanium is used mainly due to it being light weight but its not as tough or durable as something like stainless steel. As such, users will still need to take some care not to knock or bang the watch.
