SG consumer protection so weak that we should be grateful that companies like samsung are not charging us "consultation fees" just for referring the problem to them, let alone fix it gratis.

:(

Some people buy local set with that 1 year warranty just to be screw by samsung. They even have the audacity to ask whether you buy their samsung care extended warranty if not you are screw to pay full price for screen, battery, motherboard. As if paying for a flagship model price is not enough for basic warranty.

Might as well buy export since "warranty" is virtually non existence.

I have same issue with Note 9 and S22+, both time Samsung replace the screen for free even when it's out of warranty period.

This happened to me last year August.

Samsung staff said is my fault. Basically she meant is "user problem".

No free replacement.

Went to buy iPhone 14 about a month later.

Boycott Samsung forever. Hope they become the next Nokia.

Even if with Samsung care, the replacement fee was around $150.

If without Samsung care and out of warranty, the replacement fee I was quoted was around $450.

But hor, anyone with some hardware knowledge should know that this is 80% chance due to user dropping or hitting the phone and causing damage to the OLED display controller (there's 1 controller for ever line of display at the bottom of the screen. If you wack the screen, drop the phone, you may physically damage the controller and get your green line.
If it's the flex cable issue, it'll be one whole patch of the screen gone.
