Don't know and don't really care as I already change to S23 Ultra :s13:

Well S23 ultra have the same update green line problem.

The only good thing is they replace the screen for free due to warranty. After warranty I'm sure it will have the same problem...

Heard about the heat issue too, not sure if that's the cause as some phones from other brands also got this green line issue.

My habit is to ensure more than 40% battery before updating phone and in a cool environment if possible. Maybe this helps to avoid.. :o
From that old thread, <50% not charging, processor will be throttled so won’t get as hot … true or false, I don’t know.

This problem doesn't exist only on S20, S23 also got reports of such cases.

What people found out is to avoid updating while charging or hot, as it will mess up the panel connector.

When your Samsung phone starts getting pink or/and green line(s), Samsung is trying to tell you that your phone is old and is about time to change to their new Samsung phones
similar to iphone geting slower
time to get a new one
sg govt consumer protection dun give a damn

iPhone is also at risk of getting this green line as well, I think all OLED phones have this risk..

This is why you need to change ur mobile phone every year. Sell the old one, buy new one.

SG consumer protection so weak that we should be grateful that companies like samsung are not charging us "consultation fees" just for referring the problem to them, let alone fix it gratis.

:(
