im very surprised at the application rate for TPY 4room- thought bddr was supposed to be really popular??

cant be because of the price also since Kallang's prices are similar but the application rate is much higher

for 4 rm 9.3 leh! not high enough ah?

yes there are some good units but 80% is like 2 to 4 floor.

and 9 ppl are vying for 1 such unit. its crazy numbers to me.

in absolute numbers then yea it's pretty high but in comparison to the other mature estates, it's actually one of the lowest application rates. Especially for first timers.

after observing how good the 3rm FT ratio was i actually considered it for abit but bf threw it out

IRRC, the 4 room units are really bad. I estimated about 50+~60+ percent are 1st to 3rd floor units, facing precinct or above community centres, etc. If you factor in a high drop out rates for those units, the oversubscription ratio will be much higher.

Also, although theres 120+ units, the chinese quota is 80+ only.

yea i used the site that was posted earlier to check (sbf2018may.herokuapp.com), about 30% of the sbf units are 5th floor and above. also noted about the chinese quota- IIRC it was 89. using the same site to check individual block ethic ratio, i reckon it's even harder to get a mid/high floor unit as a chinese. kinda mentally prepared to go for level 3/4 (if i even get a queue number). lose some (mid/high floor) gain some (bddr location) i guess.

Not sure about facing tho!

From what I understand, for priority scheme applicants, there will be a 30% ballot based on the unit available, if you are not selected during this ballot, you will have another chance of balloting with the rest of the 1st timer, once the 300% applicants are selected, the computer then generate the queue no., thus there is no guarantee that you will have a good queue no. as it is purely based on luck! Lol

I think as long as ur ok with lower floors, should be fine! Good luck! I applied for TPY 5 room, really just a lottery ticket haha

nobody can say for sure.
You get higher chances of getting a queue number but how 'good' or 'bad' the number is, is another matter altogether

Yeah, that's a right way to phrase it. It gives you a higher chance of getting a number but god knows la that number is useful or not

meaning, non mature bukit batok/ panjang will get the ballot results before CCK, followed by Hougang etc

and only after non-mature then they will get to mature estate and once again go down the list alphabetically?

Ballot result will release on the same day itself, it’s the selection that will go by alphabetical order haha
