Ur hle aso same timing so i was wondering if i shd reapply

I’m only keen on city vue at Henderson and so happens that majority of the Chinese quota are allocated there.

Probably just check with HDB if need to apply for a new one to overlap the existing hle.

Got 11x/51 for Punggol, and it's our second time applying (first was BTO 2 years ago but not enough in CPF so we turn it down). HDB emailed saying we can still apply for other BTO/SBF/ROF since we are out of queue no. But if we get the remaining flats that are unwanted and we turn it down, will we be penalised? And will our next booking be penalised too? ANyone has any idea?

In your earlier post, u mention if get within 68 means within priority scheme. Regardless of number of flats ?

And what about drop out rates?

Mcps priority basically give u more chances but does not means it will be below 66. It is a misconcept. Even with mcps some ppl could be given no queue number or exceeding number. If u have applied with it, i believe it is applicable still, u can always clarify with hdb

If the MCPS is successful, you will get within the 66. Cause of the 66, 30% (20 flats in this case) allocated to MCPS.

However, when I mean successful, I mean successfully balloted within that 30% allocated to that scheme, and not successful in the sense where HDB acknowledges the MCPS status. Acknowledgment only places you in that first pool, not guarantee you a number. So if there were only 20 MCPS status applications, all 20 will get within the 66 flat in this scenario.

But like that you mention as well, MCPS can get no queue number cause for example in this scenario, if there was 100 who applied with MCPS status, only 20 will be successful in that 30% allocation. The remaining unsuccessful 80 will, as you said, get additional chance, cause they will now join that pool of first timers with no priorities. Which is the last 15% allocation (10 flats), assuming all 50% under the PPS scheme was successfully balloted away. If for example only 10% of the PPS scheme was taken up, then the above 15% allocation will be 55% instead (15% first timer only + 40% remaining of PPS allocation). So once you get into this pool, your schemes all plays no part now, you become a first timer with no scheme. Then if again you’re unsuccessful in this ballot pot. Ta-da! No number at all.

If your scheme is successful and you managed to get a ballot in that allocated 30%, means you got lucky at the initial pot with scheme. But there is also a scenario you failed in that first pot but got really lucky when you entered the first timer pot with no scheme.

1 way to find this out is if you successfully get a ballot number like within that 68, when you’re down at HDB, you can check with them if your ballot was under that scheme. This is also good to know, cause if your ballot number wasn’t actually under that scheme but under the 2nd scenario that I mentioned, means your parents can actually still sell their place, cause you are not under the scheme that prevents their sale for the next 5 years.
