"You can sell your flat to any buyer, regardless of their ethnic group and citizenship."

So... does it still matters?

Do you mind me asking if your block is fully occupied or there are still vacant units?

Really? My direct neighbour who is a Malay Family, the house was sold to a Chinese couple just this year.

Unless the quota is block level. Individual Unit quota seems too Racial if you ask me in resale market.

Maybe it's the ratio of the block itself... I suspect if the ration is not filled meaning got vacant units which racial quota has not filled up, seller will be able to sell to any race which ratio not filled?

Racial quota remains in the sense you cant change urs to others if u r a chinese. But u maybe able to sell depending on the block racial quota. It does changes if say a chinese sell to others, etc.

Yup the ethnic ratio is a block ratio...not level or unit. So it will depend at your point of selling if there is any “available quota” for you to sell to other race. Usually, this affects Malay/Indian/others races who may have a harder time selling to Chinese (majority) as Chinese quota is usually all full/taken up. Unless it happens that so lucky a Chinese owner sold his flat to non-chinese, then for example other non-Chinese owner can now sell to Chinese (1 available quota).

That is correct! Happen to my family who was able to sell to a chinese becos the block demographic has change despite us being others

I think this will help you better, since we’re unsure of your financial status.

Hi, I got single digit for Punggol 4rm.But the article about Pasir Gudang blackout got me thinking twice. Should I reapply for Nov Sbf since I have 6 months old baby? Quiet confused since it’s long term commitment and don’t wanna get blood cancer for my lousy decision. Any suggestions - will this be considered I loose 1 chance and left with 1 only.
