ya around 2%+, but still can get 1%. With grab ending axs payment and AMEX ending all the topup for grab, there are not much options to get rebates, sadly to say.

Yes but SCB Smart is 6%. It is rewards points format need reach 3200 points then can redeem. I have check my travel pattern I can redeem after two months of consistent usage. And count back is indeed 6%. This card quite limited category so think twice if you want a more flexible then go with Spree which I was using for bus mrt previously and for other online spend.

Do note that this method only works if u hit the 3k tier, and u can only do it max 2 out of 3 months due to the cash rebate cap of $200 per quarter.

I'm a bit out of touch with my Spree Credit Card.

If we use it to top up our Shopee Pay account, do we get 2% cash back as online spending?

(FYI, so far I have been using my UOB Absolute AMEX for the guaranteed 1.7% cash back).

I would thought using Amex CC to top up Shopee Pay incur 2% charges and the net return is -0.3%. You should use paynow to topup (for using shopee pay vouchers)

The return can still be up to + 9.7%.

That's because Shopee itself releases 10% cashback vouchers.
The only catch is that you have to use ShopeePay to take advantage of them.

I still don't mind paying the -0.3% payment for credit cards coz' I want to avoid paying annual fees, and using the credit card and chalking up expenses helps with my fee waiver requests.

any reason why you can't cancel and reapply for the card?

I usually cancel credit cards if annual fees are not waived.

However, if possible, I would rather not cancel and re-apply again.
I use the UOB Absolute AMEX card for usually nerfed expenses such as insurance premiums and hospital bills, ... etc.
