Hi guys, may I know if the Spree Visa gives 2% for simplygo & for payment of town council fees at the town council office using Paywave AKA tap and pay aka contactless payment?

You'd have to calculate on your own. Or you could speak to their CSO to ask for a breakdown.

call in for waiver request via automated service but was rejected, it says that waiver request is only strictly thru automated method, anybody had success in talking to CSO for a manual waiver anyway? especially if your spending is quite high for that year.

Ya. But I use citi smrt for online spending. 2.7% if less than $300 spending, 3% if more.

Of course if the only cards you have are spree and unlimited, choose spree for online spend. But I have citi smrt as my main card.

Yes, unless you spend $300 or more per month in which case it's 3%, 1% more than spree.

In my opinion, yes.

Everything else - Unlimited (unless you have the unlimited saver account)

I think online should use CitiSMRT 2.7%, (as with fast food (4.7%) , and offline groceries purchases (4.7%), Ezlink (1.7%)).

But everything else (Unlimited 1.5%) and contactless (Spree 2%).

There are some special case, In-Game Purchase (e.g. Steam; think not eligible for CitiSMRT; travel related purchases) where its better to use Spree (no limitation).

Not sure about Telcos, always used Unlimited, not sure Spree is eligible.

Fast food is 4.7% not 5.7%. Also who uses ez link nowadays? It's simplygo all the way.
