sianz ... another month cashback got shortfall.
this time by $16.
called CSO, they will escalate. hope no surprises.

SCB "Investigation Officer" called to say they have credited the shortfall in cashback.

His explanation is the system does not recognise some merchant / transaction as "online" (he gave the example of Starhub bill payment via MySam) so requires human intervention to credit back.

Not sure how long more they can keep up with this tedious manual process.

This Singpost SCB card does not treat Alipay Taobao as online transaction. 2 months ago I have to call them and they refunded me. This month same problem... I have to call them to check on the rebates. I guess I will avoid Alipay Taobao using this card.

Cashback for current statement will be shown in next statement. I can see the cashback 1-2days after current statement is out.

I think Naro meant we can see both this mth and last mth cashback for current statement. No need to wait 1 or 2 days after statement is out or wait for next statement.

So cash back will be in around 2days after statement out? So we no need to pay full bill, that is good unlike dbs lf :/

If your bill is $700 with statement date on 22nd August with $50 cashback posted on 24Aug, technically you still have to pay $700 right? Because the cashback is only counted towards the next month statement. If you pay only $650, you are actually underpaying your bill by $50 for August.

No, the rebate is counted as payment towards your current bill as long as it is posted before your payment due date

I see, I always see cashback as an off set to your next bill and not as a form of payment for current bill. I feel uncomfortable paying anything than the statement balance fearing that it will be treated as underpayment. You could be right though. I will only pay outstanding if I plan not on using the card anymore in the future.
