6-7 attempt?? Is it that hard to get a good que num for first timer? I'm thinking of applying for Sept BTO and is first time applying it. My parent stay near. Will I have a good chance?

To be honest, I am quite picky when applying, so most of the time I apply for the more popular ones, maybe that's why I never get good number.

If we really want a selected bto from mature estate and 4-room, is it advisable to apply despite of high competition (lower chance of getting) or should go for 3-room instead (higher chance of getting)? Any suggestions?

I was in a same dilemma as yours.

My advice is to discuss it thoroughly with your spouse. If you miss this BTO the next one is in 2 months time. However, if you choose a 3room and it doesn't suit your needs, you will end up regretting for at least 5 years during the MOP

its all about luck actually.
New 3rooms are really small, think wisely.
You are likely to be staying for a very long period of time.
Affordability and family space is a major concern.

Strongly agree with lampano. Need to think many many time. cos this is not buying veg in the market.

Are you 1st timer apply near your parent
Most 1st timer try at least 3-4 times will get flat for mature estate

I think you do not have luck
