The FOD is free and attendance is compulsory so as to facilitate your enrolment. Please be punctual and appropriately dressed as there will be games played (e.g. T-shirt, Bermudas, Shorts, Sports Shoes, Socks).

The orientation day is compulsory!!! But why so long.... 9am to 7pm haiz

Don't think it's compulsory, there's bound to be people who didn't register for the orientation days. Also, they already anticipated that and even listed when absentees (registered but never turn up) and non-attendees (never register/never turn up) can go collect their student cards.

9am to 7pm is really way too long, would be better if it ended at around 3-4pm. Is there really so much to do during orientation that they need practically the whole day?

Btw, anybody planning to ninja and disappear after getting the student cards? :s13:

How did you manage to get the UOL to issue the username and password?

I didn't do anything, they are supposed to send that email to us 8 weeks after we submit PEI contract to sim ah. Though Im still waiting for the two emails, I received the offer email on fri 11pm plus but until now I have yet to receive the two other emails. May have to contact them if I don't get it by tonight.

Thinking of ninjaing too LOL :s13:

My friends say that whole day is team-bonding games, don't really see that much point though (esp if you aren't taking the same units). Also, nearly 10 hours of team-bonding is too much for me to handle, I'm not very sociable in person :(

And it's like even if you're all taking the same degree with the same units in Year 1, the units in Year 2 and 3 will probably end up being different anyway, so what's the point of bonding... =_=

When's your orientation, 23rd or 24th? Mine's 24th. Thinking of not turning up at all, since you can just collect the card on another day.
