This depends on your contract and the wording.I just whatsapp Starhub CS and she mentioned that i only need to pay $40.27 per mth after my contract ended in June .
At different times, the T&Cs have changed across our ISPs. More recent recontracts specify that the price of internet goes back to the prevalent market rate, while the "discounted rate" applies only during the contract terms. The older ones actually specify the amount it reverts to, which is why there are people paying $29.90 for Gigabit plans for years and refuse to recontract, since the recontract amount is more than what they are paying. Am guessing your's specifies $39.90, so with the increase in GST you get $40.27.
It gets a little confusing cos the special contracts they offer to customers who renew also have different terms. So we cannot assume all contracts are the same across the board. There are actually multiple variants of contracts in play, which is confusing as heck for everyone.
