Basically having 2 FBB service with one (M1) providing digital voice aka landline service.

Thanks for sharing. For the M1 side, just need to pay the $4+ for the digital line without other hidden FBB charges, correct?

No ability to purchase static ipv4 either?

That is correct.

As of now, SIMBA uses CGNAT (no public IPv4 address), does not have IPv6 and does not offer Static IPv4 add-on.

This makes router features like DDNS and VPN Server not functional. But you may use things like Tailscale or Zerotier for remote access back to home network.

Another limitation is that SIMBA does not offer digital voice in case you need it. The ONT provided does not even have Voice capability.

Where do you see this?

1. As per M1 Digital Voice terms and conditions:
https://www.m1.com.sg/terms-and-conditions/fixed-voice

2.1.M1 Fixed Voice Service (the "Service") is provided to you by M1 with the sign up of M1 High Speed Fibre Broadband Service for residential use at the service address only. Upon termination of M1 High Speed Fibre Broadband Service, the Service will also be terminated.

2. Stathub
https://www.starhub.com/personal/home-phone/home-phone-line.html
++Fibre Broadband is a prerequisite for subscription to Digital Voice service.

3. Singtel -- Singtel offers standalone Digital Voice at S$10 per month (6 month contract) but one time fee is high at S$214.14.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/more/telephony-services/home-digital-line

4. Summary
From what I read, it is probably not a good idea to go with SIMBA if you die die need digital voice.

The only people calling the house phone are scammers. My mom disconnected all the phones in the house cos she is tired of picking up the phone only to listen to scammers.
her reason being if anyone wants to get us, can just call our mobile lines.

To make it clear for the others, I'm not sure if Tailscale or Zerotier is able to traverse CGNAT, so you might end up routing traffic through their relay service.

Just received the email from them, too bad I'm already on whizzcoms, just $2 more which I don't mind. Maybe I'll jump over once my contract ends :s22:

Tailscale runs DERP relay servers distributed around the world to link your Tailscale nodes peer-to-peer as a side channel during NAT traversal, and as a fallback in case NAT traversal fails and a direct connection cannot be established. Tailscale DERP Servers are in Singapore. You can self host DERP Servers too for better latency. Tailscale DERPs have QoS in place and hence won't be as fast as peer to peer.

Run tailscale netcheck and see in the report if UDP is true. If yes, then the host can do peer to peer connection. if not, it goes via encrypted TCP DERP

I think they are of the same price.

Whizcomms 2.5Gbps (aggregated 2.5Gbps) plan at S$21.80 per month.
SIMBA 2.5Gbps plan is also at S$21.80 per month (S$20 + 9% GST = S$21.80).

SIMBA vs WC 2.5Gbps plan -- my personal opinion is to avoid both (power users) or to get both (power users) or to go with WC (average users who do not mind ONR).

Yes home phone line is useless don't tell me emergency can use if your flat caught fire don't tell me you will stand there call 999 995.

Agree home phone line is the most useless add on for fibre.
