How do you know if SIMBA is offering static IP address?
I don't know. That's why I'm asking a question.

Unfortunately SIMBA has no static IPv4 add-on now. Using CGNAT and no IPv6 for now.

This can pose challenge for people who want to use things like DDNS and VPN server on the home network.

If you need this type of features, then you do not want to go with SIMBA right now. Better to wait.
The answer is here. Thanks for the heads up.
Looks like got to pause on upgrading until some other providers can do static IP add on.

Dual band is the wrong terminology -- that is usually for wireless (2.4GHz/5GHz).

As long as the router has two 2.5G ports (one for WAN and one for LAN), you can fully utilize the provided 2.5Gbps bandwidth, so you'd better go with Asus TUF-AX6000 or GT-AX6000 in this sense.

Can you use those routers with single 2.5G WAN port? Yes you can, when you do not care about wired 2.5G device. For example, if you only care about wireless. Then you can use cheaper ones like TUF-AX4200.

Can you use routers with only 1Gbps WAN port, like the old RT-AX88U (you'd better forget it now if you are buying a new router)? Yes, you can, but then the plan becomes 1Gbps plan.

Can be use but the router only 1gbps Wan.. So yr plan downgrade to 1gbps only. To fully utilize u need router with 2.5gbps Wan port and 2.5gbps lan port if u have desktop that support 2.5gbps. Pls read xiaofan post on his recomendation routers for simba 2.5gbps.

Even so still cheaper than 500mpbs or 1gbps plans. Use to the router till spoil then buy a 2.5ghz wan router to fully utilize the speed.

DDNS won't work with Simba because of CGNAT. And you won't need DDNS to link your Synology with your LG Smart TV. You can use internal IP address to make both of them communicate with each other instead.

Well for the costs conscious, $21.50/mth is already a steal at 1gbps. So for those who dun have the necessary hw, u can still subscribe to this first.
