Quick question, does port forwarding work with CGNAT like Simba? I'm hosting multiplayer games like Palworld (dedicated server), is it working with Simba?

I just installed today. Tested with speednet wireless. Seems to be slower than my previous 1Gbps viewquest leh...

I just installed few days back as well. The wireless Speed shown not much improvement from my previous viewqwuest 500mpbs.

At first thought is my old router Asus RT-ac1200+ issue. So I have replaced with asus zenwifi xt8 and the result is only around 200 to 300 Mbps Infront of router. Sometime can hit 400 to 500 if I change the test server on speedtest app.

Hey guys need some help here about the appointment.

After sign up, will receive email link to make appointment for NLT installation. After selection of 3 time slots, SIMBA sent email confirming the NLT date (but not time slot?!) and in addition saying that ONT installation appointment will be automatically scheduled next working day following your NLT appointment.

Today was my appointment for NLT, waited whole day at home but no sound no picture (although SIMBA did separately reply to my enquiry few weeks back that NLT side may not need to access my unit).

So what now? Wait for ONT people to call me to make appointment? Or Monday need to standby at home even though this wasn't even scheduled in the first place?

Basically the appointment with NLT is so call "update your NLT terminal" the update may be physical or remotely so they need not have to really enter your house for this appointment. (I wasted a leave for this but no choice)

On the next working day which should be coming Monday Simba installer will Whatsapp you that they will be dropping by your unit for installation. Usually they will message you early in the morning 8am. (I was caught by surprise and took urgent leave on the next working day)

Do note that if you miss your appointment, a fee of *$50* before GST will be applied to reschedule appointment.

Yes precisely I found it very stupid because I thought the date selection was for everything, end up it was only for NLT and the ONT is next business day. Did they mention this in the email? I don't remember seeing it. Not sure if cock eye or what.

ONT installation they message you only on the same morning?

Used it for about 2 week liao.
As compare to my previous 2G SH ,using this now i don't really feel any super slow or anything but if u go speedtest it lose to SH most of the time by quite a bit.
Mostly on YT and watch online show from CN and a bit of mobile gaming.

When simba tech come install they take quite a while which i guess it cause the speed not up to idea speed using their own laptop and they don't dare to show cause scare customer kpkb disappointed with the speed.

Anyway i happy for the pricing as compare to paying SH more than 60/mth for the same thing.

Pretty fast I would say. Less than 30 mins of the time if you are happy with his test speed using his company laptop that support up to 1gbps (at least for my case they guy)

my viewquest 1gbp gets about 650-700 mbps , I'm using asus RT-AX88U. Now with simba I'm getting 200-300 nia....

Seems like your router should be fine. I Felt sometime not right so I went feedback to them with screenshots taken from speedtest.

After all, I can't complain much for the price just that quite disappointed that the speed not even close to 1gpbs.

Below is what's they had replied and will take sometime to go ping pong with them but I guess only direct wired connection it will be able to hit more than 1gbps.

Quote+++++

Could you kindly confirm if you have access to a laptop or computer that can be directly connected to your ONT to verify the speed?

We kindly request you to perform the following steps to assist us further:

Conduct a speed test using both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies.
Establish a direct connection between a laptop/computer and your ONT.

Kindly take note that SIMBA offers a high-value Fiber Broadband Plan utilizing 2.5Gbps GPON technology. It is essential for customers to utilize equipment that supports 2.5Gbps mGig (2.5GBASE-T) to achieve speeds exceeding 1Gbps.
