Need to learn more about AV2000. I believe the PHY link speed is up to 2000Mbps. But the real world speed of PowerLine adapters will not exceed 30% of the PHY speed.
https://www.tp-link.com/sg/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa9020p-kit/

For WiFi, the real world speed is usually up to 60-70% of the PHY speed or even higher.
But anyway speed of about 500mbps is already fast enough for me ..
So I will just stay on 500bmps or 1gbps internet since my room is also far away

It is already a god bless when the speed can stay relatively high and connection is stable.

my sp11 wi-fi 7...

Just wait for a while, Surface Pro 11 is the new Copilot+ AI PC which comes with Qualcomm CPU and Qualcomm WiFi 7 chipset. Qualcomm WiFi 7 chipset may be better than Intel BE200 chipset. But still you can wait for better cost effective true WiFi 7 router to come out.

Of course if you are willing to pay, you can get good ones like Asus ROG GT-BE98 (at about S$1099) or Netgear Nighthawk RS700S which will indeed last you for quite some years.

I just bought the first WiFi 7 capable laptop (Acer Swift Go 14 OLED) recently for my Wife (Intel Core Ultra 125H CPU based) to replace her aging laptop bought in Dec 2017. But I have no intention to buy true WiFi 7 router this year, only China WiFi 7 routers without 6GHz (just treat them as cost effective WiFi 6 routers now).

BTW, I think Windows on ARM64 is not worth buying now -- but that is just my personal opinion. Apple Silicon (ARM64) is way better. Then AMD Zen 5 based Ryzen AI 300 and next generation Intel Lunar Lake CPU based laptop will be better as well than the Qualcomm CPU based Copilot+ AI PC.

I ask chatGPT.

I prefer stability 😂

Your upload is capped by something ?
Try fast.com and test the speed and see if really is cloud server issue with your singtel.

No wonder many people say Singtel is not good 😂
40MHz is more for high density enterprise deployments when there isn't enough frequency to ensure the AP cell size do not overlap too much.

in a normal HDB setup, your neighbouring APs are weak enough to not be a huge problem + you're not deploying more than 2* APs in close proximity anyway. Just jiak the entire 80MHz.

Now only for these areas only.

I suggest you recontract m1 for another 2 years with 500mbps
Then upgrade to 1gbps when the price drops in these 2 years or wait for contract to expire then change telco.

I continued using M1 500 Mbps without re-contracting.

You have to pay extra for no contract

Used to be true but not true any more for M1 500Mbps plan. Now you can keep the same S$30.45 per month pricing after contract expires.

Starhub 500Mbps plan is the same. My contract expired in 2020 and I am paying S$30.45 per month now (due to GST increase, was S$29.90 before the GST increase).

I just signed for the 500mbps start of this year.
I guess have to wait for 1gbps to be $30 then upgrade it at the same price 😂

Yes you have to wait now.

FYI, Starhub has an on-going offer for 5Gbps at S$29.55 per month. For those who do not mind using ONR, this is of very good value.

How terrible?

It is said that SIMBA has bad connection to some local SpeedTest servers. You may try out different SpeedTest servers, including those from Malaysia.
