Is it still SOP to wait for expiry of current contract (monthly ones since most are SIM Only) before porting out?

Now Malaysia roaming keeps on auto connect to Yes from jb to KL. Even if set to mycelcom digi, then set back auto, it goes back to Yes again.

Speed test wise, Yes never exceeds 50mbps download. But my celcom digi goes up to 200mbps download even on LTE only. So now I manual lock to celcom digi.

On Samsung s25 ultra.

So wondering why now simba auto stick to Yes and if anyone encounter the same?

Huh? Mine never locked to yes. I have to manually choose it to test. Celcomdigi is the default when set to auto.

They might have made an appeal to Simba, thus took "finally".

This round, most if not all got the bonus almost immediately. Including yours truly.
Very likely is Simba's marketing department mistakes, some authorised dealers were informed of the promo but somehow were not included in the list and the system.

Mine s25 ultra, on auto, keep on go to Yes... Unless I manual lock to umobile or celcom for way better speeds... Yes is super slow...

My is a z fold8. My f7 using z1 also auto to celcomdigi.
Hmm, don't know what's the issue then. Maybe it's the new 5g Sim? 😂 I went to change.

But my another vivo phone, which is quite old, but also using the simba new 5g Sim, is auto on umobile....

All different. Probably at the scanning time and location, whichever telco has the highest signal will get locked on to.
is not actually.

Each telco has a preference of telco in every country.

For e.g. malaysia

Singtel - Maxis
Starhub/M1 - CelcomDigi
Simba - Umobile

Only when you have zero signal for their preferred telco, then you can lock on to other telcos.

Never connected to mobile before. I still believe it will latch to the strongest signal.

Can I check what are you APN settings?

I'm on Samsung, so I reset to default, it sets to name simba, apn internet.

I went to simba website and also did some search, both told me to name it tpg and apn tpg.
Name: SIMBA
APN: Internet

No need to change anything. I popped the Sim card into my new phone and just use it. Np.

TPG or INTERNET or *leave blank*
does different APN gives different speed/connectivity?
