Oh my bad. Then I think your best choice will be to install the Simba Voice App to set it up to call.

This exercise is to assess SIMBA's Roaming in China & so far it is good.

For calls we can depend on WhatsApp.

Me just back from china, so far network v good and fast enough for me for whatsapp, youtube, telegram etc..., 4G full bars throughout (I dont have 5G handset). Didnt do anything, just off airplane mode and on data roaming setting, APN set to TPG already
Note: Not using the superroam plan, just the normal plan with free 1GB

Anyone have port-out experience when the SIMBA line isnt renewed?

I have ported out of simba on the first month after the auto deduction failed. If you use CC to pay you need to change to a blank value Debit card, like singtel dash, or just temporary lock your card, so the auto deduction will fail. (change the card via simba website)

No harm trying it out, since the $30 fee will only be charged to the simba wallet, not cc. it is around the 27/30 day of your cycle. You should receive an sms once auto deduction failed, thats when you can port out.

I ported out to vivifi, because i can submit the port in any time i want. You can use similar telco like giga, or just time it perfectly.

Here is picture proof, when the line is "terminated", means i have successfully ported out.

No way to even it out, you will need exact amount ($10) to renew next month, unlike giga for example.
Can top up $5 so only lose $4.92.

Is there anyway to top up to make the balance whole number again for this month's renewal. seemed like only fixed $5 or $10, etc can be top up. No way to make few cents top up?
wanted to clean out the balance to zero so that I can port out to either heya/zym next month
Mine was less than $5, $4.99 but was totally deducted for monthly payment.
Today SIMBA successfully renewed my $5 monthly Seniors Plan (at the 26th day). The renewal was performed by deducting from my Account Balance ie eWallet.

What's strange is that my eWallet has only $4.99 balance because I made an IDD call to reduced it to $4.99 from $5 - the intention was to avoid taking my subscription from the eWallet.

So I get 1 cent discount? :)
Let's wait for another few days & see what happens.

Stuck there. Till u use them up.

Min top up is $5. So min loss will be $5.

Try clear them with your roaming (call/data)
Roaming call is cheap. Use that to call Malaysia to make booking.

Thanks, wanted to port-out/port-in to downgrade - I guess mine's too late - alr kena 'suspended'
altho throttled 128kbps can survive for texting & LQ-youtube but cant SIM-authenticate for wireless@sg

their email-support advised topup but that means either endure another month or forfeit. mlmlwml.
decided to leave SIMBA altogether - rgdless my og number lost or can port-out

it's funny how SIMBA still sucks indoors or at least my frequent areas
but their overseas partner-networks are pretty decent - minus the hiccups

I’m currently in Indonesia and ported over from giga on Monday night. The esim is activated and I can get mobile data, but my network shows zero bar and it appears my esim does not have a number. Can’t receive SMS OTP.

Might this be because I activated the SIM card overseas or is my number not ported in properly? Simba is slow to respond.

You can't activate overseas. And need to use the (e)sim in Singapore for minimum 48 hrs before roaming will work.

Hey , I tried the same, port out attempt on 29th day and after auto deduction failed twice, but port in request to redone came back as rejected.

going to resubmit port in again today which is my 30th day of the cycle. If fail I guess no choice I gotta give SIMBA another $10

Sorry to hear that... Fingers crossed tonight 11pm+ simba show no signal like it did for me. i did not expect it to work either when i submitted the port in to vivifi. Maybe simba has fixed it..
Update for all, port in successful this time, 30th day of my cycle

I have port in simba from m1 on 10th Nov. Now I noticed my m1 has been deactivated. I scan the QR code provided by simba. Internet is fine but I couldn't make or receive any call. Btw I'm using esim.

Make sure volte is enable. U should see the sign beside your signal bar
