Of course I'm not happy man. I thought I could rely on this thread to get help, but now people tell me to u-turn and look for help somewhere else. I'm not so good at these things, and don't have time to keep running around all the time man.
I think it's more productive if you can PM me the resource you have, instead of ping-pong like this.

I dunno if this is relevant, but I noticed the recent new version of UOB app suddenly could detect root.

However, I did not give up, and checked the Magisk Denylist. I found that the app recently added a new string that has got something to do with Zygote, namely com.uob.mighty.app_zygote. Once I added that to the DenyList the app no longer detects root and I am able to do banking liao.

I still have not updated the SingPass app unless I am forced to update when they cut access to the earlier version, so perhaps those of u with the newest SingPass app try to check your Magisk DenyList see if there is a similar new string that has to be enabled in the DenyList?

Hmm I'm able to use latest Singpass with rooted stock rom. Using a combination of the tools already mentioned above, don't want to share anything more to make life easier for the devs to make life harder for us.

The Magisk Denylist didn't work.

Our devs... Dunno how to prioritise. Denylist means no root operations, they should encourage use of Denylist. But no, they rather people use blacklist instead.

Yes! But recently they released v14.1, anyone tried? Tripped or not? I guess they closed new setup on old versions just like b4. U may have to use the lastest version for 1st setup on ur mobile after a factory reset or fw flashing & wipe.

I myself haven't updated Singpass to v14.1 yet. I won't do so voluntarily (last time Google Play auto updated Singpass app to v14.0 without my consent). Others may have tried, but they may prefer not to share/disclose.

Hi, just wondering if the Singpass and banking apps will work with a Pixel phone running Graphene OS given the sandboxed Google play services. Has anyone tried?

The magisk extention did not work on my S21 U initially so I went 3rd party, so far working fine with playstore, and I can do forced update on playstore if required and just need to detach again post the update to keep it detached.

Today I just made the plunge, updated to 14.1.1. The root hiding still works to fool the app.

If you are happy with what you have and you don't see the need to install Magisk then please continue that way.

I root my phone for:

• remove bloatware
  → reduce background apps + background data → save battery
• block ads, especially for Xiaomi phones where there are ads even in the settings.
  → no more distraction, save battery (due to playing ads and due to downloading ads on mobile data), faster website loading. Bonus: free version of apps cannot show ads anymore, same as paid versions.
• automation : Tasker/Automagic
• Advanced Charging Controller (acc)
• Custom props: disable USB debugging notification, hide alarm icon on notification bar.
• Universal GMS Doze
• Nandroid backup/Titanium backup: technically Nandroid backup only needs unlocked bootloader, but I need to hide unlocked status, so I need root. Titanium backup can also run without root, but with limited features.
• Sync contacts' photo with their Facebook profile photos
• YouTube Vanced

I have stopped using Titanium backup for a long time, I can't remember my reasoning for that.

After force updated to the latest version of myENV, it seems NEA weather app is able to beat the magis/zygisk root hide, with or without Shamiko.

Unable to launch, root detected....
