This happened before the recent price increase.
On July 29th, I went to send 2 items, one of them a mobile phone cover. As I had some leftover stamps, I used them.
At the counter, I told the staff one is to be sent as normal mail and the other as registered(see posting receipt for registered article).
After the staff calculated and pasted the stamps I check with her
again and she confirmed the amount is correct for normal mail.
Take a look at the chart and see for yourself is the amount correct:

There's an additional $2.24 for local registered article.
After emailing them on 29th July, they asked for a contact number, after giving them a contact number, no answer from them till today.
Everytime I call, they will say investigation still ongoing/another department is doing the investigation.
IT'S BEEN ALMOST 3 MONTHS!
Are they waiting for the ink on the receipt to fade?
I try to take video/photos before sending most of the time.
TL;DR version
-How can a mobile phone casing weigh 1kg?
-I paid a total of $3.04 and mailed the item outside of the post office(refer to pic take outside).
-If the postage was $0.80, it is correct. I'm being charged registered article prices for something sent as normal mail.
-Like I said, Which part of the postage rate chart states $3.04?
