The ZTE brand function as a ONT. If you use 868l, you will need to add a manage switch after the 868l router.

It is more advisable if you use those router that supports vlan tagging and set the profiles .

The ONT needs to be used with the SingTel routers or 3rd party routers supporting VLAN function.

Since you are not familiar with this type of stuff, better buy the SingTel AC1900, AC Elite, AC Plus from Crousell at price around S$10 to S$40. AC1900 and AC Elite are basically the same, AC Plus is of lower speed AC1200 class but it is newer than AC1900/AC Elite.

Anyone know how to connect singtel fibre to 3rd party router?

I brought a dlink 868 to replace my faulty singtel ac 1900...

Can connect to ssid with signal but no internet access...

BTW, are you still on contract with SingTel? You can contact them for one to one exchange at Serv+ if that is the case.

If you are out of contract, not so sure...

I did see a vlan checkbox in the router setup page
So i need to tick the box?

Hence cannot be used for Singtel.

Later go back will try again, so complicated to setup a 3rd party router for singtel....wasted dunno how many hours alrdy messing with the setting still cannot get internet...

Say no new router will be given, only 2 more years of warranty will be added to ur current old router after recontract and 49.90/mth for 1gbps,currently i m on 59.90..zzz..only 10 discount wth

Think i better look for a new telco for my internet

As for the two year old warranty, it means you can do one to one exchange at Serv+ in the contract period.

i did a re-contract for the 1Gbps fibre on Monday afternoon, when i went home found my internet down since down.
i am using 3rd party router from netgear.
router shows no internet traffic, icon is red.
called singtel support, they advised me to take the singtel router and try
my ONT is the old black one from ZTE.
using it since 2013 when i was on 500Mbps.
my previous plan was fibre unlimited
