Hi zorrus,

Can you share how to access the mdc page for 5012nv or any special address? I try to bypass the @singnet in username to use this modem in the other ISP.

Thanks a lot,

Thanks for your assistance, hk7310!

I can see there are 3 additional tabs under "Settings-> Boardband" after login to "192.168.1.254/singtel". But still I can't bypass "@singnet" in "Link Configuration" tab...

I read the old posts, somebody mentioned that "You need to configure via a special HURL page to bypass Auto "@singnet" ". I wish to do so by login to the mdc page as 2701 but it seems not the right way.

Can anyone help to remember which special HURL page to go on 5012?

Cheers,

Can a 2Wire 5012NV with SingTel firmware be configured to work with the HG836 ONT on a MyRepublic connection?

I've changed the Link Configuration type to Ethernet and Connection Type to DHCP (Dynamic IP) but the router is unable to acquire a WAN IP from the ONT.

Had this problem for quite awhile.

Previously was on 6mpbs plan with singtel. So recontacted with them last year to 16mpbs using the black mio 2wire.

Problem is, my download speed with the 6mpbs plan was 2.1mb. After upgrading my plan. The download is still the same, 2.1mb.

Anyone knows why and where went wrong? Paying for 30 dollars more but same speed.

Firmware ver ? Were u prev on ST fiber ? Heard that they hard coded the VLAN tags into the firmware. So can't use. Unless u drop it to a older ver.

Have u contacted ST helpdesk ? Using for 1 yr and nvr make noise abt it ?

Pls note all test muz be done via wire to ensure accuracy. And note the diff between mb (bits) & MB (bytes).

Hasnt contacted st helpdesk. Just wanna ask if the problem is on my side or on theirs.

Tried downloading with wired. Speed wise is still the same.
I'm not sure about the bits and bytes. But in any case, when i upgrade the plan, the speed should be faster..

Not necessary. What if they did not make the backend changes ? Or is it due to line issue ? Pls note that adsl is still susceptible to interferance.

So should I just dial 1688 and speak to the customer officer or is there any special departments should I request for?

My connection is ONT - 2 Wire in bridge mode - my own router. It was working well since last April.

A few days ago, I have asked Singtel to upgrade my 100mbps fiber to 150mbps.
They told me it will be upgraded on Thur (today).
This morning, my router is not able to get IP. I have switched on/off the ONT, 2 wire and my own router a few times and still facing the same problem.

Anyone knows what the problem is? How do I troubleshot? Shall I call singtel tech support?

Thanks a lot!

Problem solved...

I connected my laptop to 2 wire directly, it's able to get IP, and access the internet.

I tried connect my router to 2 wire, it's still not getting IP.
Then I openned my router setup page, and changed the mac to some random mac. Amazingly, my router was able to get IP.:s12:

However, if I try to use the default mac of my router, it cannot get IP again...:s22:

Anyway, I'm going to use the random IP...=:p
