Singtel 3G very slow

Just notice after changing to "Internet", internet tethering is disable.
How to enable internet tethering with APN set to "Internet"?

anyone using internet tethering and when it is connected, it shows that it is connected at a speed of 1Mbps..

i am using APN: e-ideas with or without 3G, it is still 1Mbps

i also change to internet, and internet tethering is also disable~~

Singtel's 3G network is a piece of ****. Having access problems. Half of my mind to get rid of this ****ing line with them.

agree with you, today i went to mustafa, first time speedtest on NEL, speed is WOW!
at least 2Mbps on moving train!

i think speed really depends on location, on my block at woodlands, only average 500kbps

singtel 3G network is really really bad.

had been getting less tham 1Mbps or at best 2-3Mbps when the stated speed is up to 7.2Mbps. this is ridiculous.

will be calling up to complain and demand an explanation why should i be paying when i am getting such lousy service. of course i already know wat kind of standard answer they are going to give. but i am going to tell them watever it is, the bottom line is that such level of service is definitely not acceptable, or change their stated speed to up to 3 Mbps.

hope that more bro and sis will call up to complain if u hv the time.

i believe sooner (or one day) or somehow they will hv to take actions if the complains are overwhelming.

This 2 mths, I have been experiencing really bad reception problem. Call singtel and complain 3 times already... Nothing is done...

Even with full bars, the loading of webby still slow.... Dl apps like xxxxxxx slow... Bo bian... Use home de wifi...

Haiz ST need to do sth....

too many peeps are on the network.
if you do attempt a speed test after 1am... you actually get amazing speeds.

I complained wrote to their senior management they send a network engineer down to my work place. he brought along many handsets and showed me his smartphone all have very bad reception. then he said he do a test on the base station here and then talk to the facilities people and add in don't know what to make the network better. I told him its not only at my workplace in my home also.

Dont know what Singtel is doing also. Give up

Ok The Engineer just came again. He told me if i want can go comcentre to change a set as now ip4 not so many chances are i may get a new set. He also use his 3gs and tested the signal is good and surfing wise ok. He ask me to dl the speedtest.net and try it out to see the speed, 1st reading i got a download speed of 523 kbps and upload speed of 765kbps. Can anyone advice if its ok as he said this is ok? I dont want to go comcentre to change as i had just put on the powersupport screen protector. thanks

In the beginning my 3G signal was bad but when i complained they said they are doing some upgrade and it will solve the issue.. after a day the signal was quite ok, not very good but better and much faster.

I also want to mention that Singtel 3G is better than starhub and M1...my friends from starhub and M1 complain everyday...

we tested singtel 3G with other telco's 3G and singtel wins big time...

yes its really dependent on location and how congested is the 3g data

its really damn terrible. slower than wireless.sg... if only my workplace there has wireless.sg. Any better solutions? Download speed at most like 11kbs only, even in CBD area.

i think shd jus call in n complain.. i called last week and say ask engineer to check. give them few more days. if not i will tell them i will write to straits time or IDA.
anyway i strongly believe a lot of singtel users are affected. my house have 3 Singtel Mobile.

hope more n more people call to complain then they will do something
