The initial report is correct -- which mentions a small portion of SingTel mobile customers remain on 5G NSA network.

No idea why Singtel comes out the clarification which is not really correct.

Initial report for reference
Seems like it’s only iOS devices will fallback to 5G NSA. There’s few places which both of my Android devices falls back to 4g. But iPhone back on NSA.

There's too many places to check, there's possibilities of missing out. There's also possibilities the places you able to detect using 5G NSA is not their key priority and they just turn it on to boost some capabilities of 5G.

What app you using on IOS looks cool does it always provide information?

Why Singtel wanna make a claims which is incorrect... I hope is not to show investor assurance in performing to meet their objective.

It's normal for on ground actual work status/progress to differ from management/official announcements.
Espeically for such where the area of coverage/work is huge, so not surprising we are facing such issues as users.

Interestingly I saw the same thing for M1 Maxx -- it still has 5G NSA as well.

Nice to see S$7 Senior 5G+ plan, but take note Gomo 5G+ senior plan is at S$6 per month.

Not so sure if one really needs S$25/S$30/S$35 plan.

actually quite confused - what's the difference between this hi! plan and the normal Singtel SIM-only plan like the $15.28 one?

Much better roaming bundles, roll over of local/roaming data. No roaming voice support so no surprise charges as well.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi

But lower priority for local usage. No physical shop or hotline support either.

I tend to believe the priority is the same as Gomo, Zym, Zero1, VIVIFI or CMLink for SingTel hi! 5G postpaid plans. Singtel hi! 4G postpaid plans may even have lower priority (heya replacement).

The Singtel SIM Only Plan like $15.28 one can have bill shock. Hi Plan has no bill shock.

There is another $40 plan (1.5TB) that is only viewable on the app. Not shown on the Singtel website.

i need some real time speed test Singtel Hi 4G Senior vs Singtel Hi 5G Senior :D

1. Not using senior plan, but SingTel hi! S$13 plan (eSIM). You can take it as a reference.

In this particular case, 4G speed is pretty decent.

iPhone 14, 512GB version (my wife's main phone).

Good signal here in Jurong West area (near to Jurong Point)

1) 5G mode, 5G SA

2) 4G mode

2. BTW, SingTel S$15.28 (her main line on the same iPhone 14) performs very similar here since this is not a peak time and also with good signal.

1) 5G SA

2) 4G

3. The difference can be significant in other cases. I have tested Singtel hi! S$10 4G plan and I think it is not that good, worse than M1 Maxx 5G plan and StarHub Prepaid S 5G legacy plan.

If S$2 difference is okay for you, just go with the S$7 5G Senior plan. But you may want to compare with Gomo S$6 5G Senior plan as well.

is it possible to enable carrier billing for Apple services on a hi! line? i.e. Apple app store purchases and subscription charge to Singtel billing.

Doubt so, likely only available for the 3 MNOs - ST, SH & M1, same as MVNOs, doesn't support carrier billing.
