ma chao is it? Actually in real history zhao yun ish only the personal guard of Liu Bei, not a war general like guan yu zhang fei they all.
all 3 expert in 3 kingdom is here![]()
wu hu jiang is only fiction from the novel, they are as real as The Avengers.
In real life they have General of the Front/Rear/Right/Left, who are Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Huang Zhong & Ma Teng.
Only 4 of them, not 5. And Zhao Yun was never part of this elite group.
but zhuge liang joined liu bei was becos of lesser talents in liu bei's organisation and thus can shine, great man can shine in SME but not in govt sector aka Cao Cao's org as too many ppl liao.
but zhuge liang, becos of his eagerness to shine, became jealous of other talented ppl, thus he kept whacking wei yan and when wei yan recco to attack Wei using a shorter but more dangerous and direct route, ZGL didn't want as he did not want wei yan to be remembered as THE guy who defeated Wei, but himself, ZGL, as THE man who defeated Wei
Tiagong Zhao yun was righteous and he offended someone powerful in the Shu court. He dio bunknifed hence not as high rank. Make worse by him tell Liu bei not to go and fight Wu.Thanks for your correction.
Yes Ma Chao.
Yes, in real life Zhao Yun was not as highly rated by Liu Bei as compare in the novel.
it was shu keeping wei busy, not the other way round.
shu was easy to defend and easy to go out, but not easy to get in. read ur china geography lol. sichuan/guizhou area ish highland sloping down towards jingzhou.
how come libai poem 千里江陵一日还? it is always easier to attack from high grounds. wei on the other hand had difficulty breaking shu becos it is literally uphill battle.
that is the reason that makes shu EASY TO DEFEND. but shu need a buffer zone beyond the bottleneck so that they wont be choked to death by wei. hanzhong to jingzhou area is another choke point with lots of land for food, so shu wanted to take that too, and joined forces with wu.
wei at hanzhong and part of jingzhou literally blocked the communication btw shu and wu, cos they controlled part of the yangtze river.
dun just talk from thin air. look at the map.
for harassment warfare, the attacking side always have more advantage than defensive, esp attacking from highground to lowlands. and thats the best option shu has against wei after the 1st northern campaign failed unexpectedly.

Ya, he was not the only one who try to persuade Lui Bei not to fight WU.
Zhuge Liang also did the same but was ignored by Lui Bei

Liu Bei was blinded by hatred and fail to see the bigger picture, if only shu is lead by ZGL, there won't be so many sacrifices.
But ZGL also never succeed in his traditional safe way worThe Wei Yan route too dangerous.
Even he manage to pass through that small road and appeared out of sudden, he may not be able to win in time. His assumption is that the Wei general in charge is weak and he can win him easily.
Even if he won and Shu major armies manage to converge(会师) they may not be able to hold waves of reinforcements sent by Wei. It is not about the attack part that worries zhugeliang, but how to hold 魏reinforcement when they are at plain aka 平原。
No lah...let me ask u, u want to be boss of SME or be mid-level manager in MNC???Liu Bei was blinded by hatred and fail to see the bigger picture, if only shu is lead by ZGL, there won't be so many sacrifices.
They should just surrender to 魏to avoid all the killings and sacrifices in my opinion.
At that time, 魏already control 9 州,吴got 3 州,蜀only got ones
Last time Mongolia and Jin the population so small, and they can easily beat those big big AT.
So cannot just see the size mah.![]()
I think you misunderstood my post. Try read carefully.
What I meant by not easy to go out means attack out.
You read Chinese history, how many emperors manage to fight all the way up from 四川till unite the whole China? Most of them fight from north to south. The exception perhaps 刘邦,but at that time 刘邦got 兵仙韩信。
蜀army is better in 野战,at plain, 魏will have upper hand.
