Hi All, actually was eyeing on X95H Sony TV. However, the sale person say is an android TV which is like android phone, in 2-3 years we will start to see slow down in the app usages etc.

What the person mean is those apps that we watch show etc. will experience slow down? Anyone able to advice?

Thanks in advance
It is more taxing on the TV processors which is already doing a lot of heavy lifting to process the source and to run the built in Android apps. I noticed that the CNA (which is a half hearted written app) news ticker is not as smooth running from the A8G and X900H TVs compared to running the CNA app from Nvidia ShieldTV or Chromecast with Google TV. So you can always share the processing load to some of the better built Android TV boxes to get around the issue over time.

I alway realised that there is no mewatch app on the android. If your family members like local program, Samsung and LG are better. Can always buy an android box to load android

Kind of strange we need this app when we have so powerful media streaming services like Netflix, Disney+. Well, I presume we need channels to watch news? Lol!

I don’t think Sony can do anything right? It is android mah not Sony

I’ve fed back to Sony SG on this..
because some live in areas with poor reception so having the app is a big deal

It’s definitely not Sony’s fault. Blame it on mediacorp who insisted that meWatch will not be available on Android TV OS.

X95J in Singapore will only release in 75” upwards. There won’t be 55” or 65” in Singapore.

hmm out of curiosity i just checked it out. Not ready yet.

Yeap not yet. June release can mean first or the last day in June.

Don’t have much hope for it to be launch so soon with the arrogant engineers from meWatch.

Kind of weird that MeWATCH don’t even have a full proper Android TV app until today. The software development and their support is damn lousy.

They should consider develop as more Smart TV are now running Android TV/Google TV like Sharp, Sony, Xiaomi and Phillips etc

not sure if $3599 for A80J is worth it

If a 55” cost the same as a 65” OLED from a different brand, then I’ll seriously consider the other brand too.
Bring a video you know and try it there using the theater mode and not the vivid one
