I get very slow speed when the train stops at caberra station. It resumes normal speeds once the train move towards sembawang.

I guess infrastructure in a new town needs time to mature.

I just received my new SIM card. There*********s no need to activate immediately right? Cos I still want my old number to be contactable until the porting process is completed?

You need to activate the card, before they start the porting process.

My reception issues also near Kranji to Admiralty. Totally no sound, so annoyed 😤

Hi all, any one manage to align your plan to the calendar month successfully? I was told by Giga staff it is not possible. :s11:

To align to calendar month, activate on 1st day of the mth. I got my Giga SIM card at IT fair booth on 28 Nov. I wanted to sync to calendar month.

At first the guy helping me say even if I activate on 1 Dec, eventually it will not coincide because some months have 30 days and some months 31 days. Then a more senior guy came along and say as long as activate on 1st of the mth, will tie to calendar mth. He is right.

I activated on 1 Dec and my billing cycle starts on 1st of every month regardless of whether there is 29, 30 or 31 day.

Edit : To add on, time of activation is important. Eg if you activate at 12pm, the new billing also starts at 12pm. So best to activate during sleeping hours. I activated mine at 1.47am on 1 Dec. So on the 1st day every month at 1.47am my new billing cycle starts.

I don't really see the importance of voicemail tho, given that people can simply send a text message or a voice message over Telegram/Whatsapp?

It's important to certain calls where you just call the person for just once. You might not know the person nor he or she is in your contact list. And you don't have intention to add him or her via WhatsApp and telegram. It's good to leave a voice message.

On the other hand, old folks might not have WhatsApp or telegram, so voicemail might be a good feature for them.

Yap, don't see a use to voice mail too. Just leave recorded voice message with WhatsApp or something similar.

Bad Experience

Decided to switch from GOMO to giga but it resulted in an unpleasant experience. Arranged for delivery from 3-6pm last saturday, waited from 2 pm onward but courier never came at all. Live chat with the customer service agent to resolve issue, explained to them what happened. CSO did some investigation with the courier and replied to me that the courier had tried to deliver, gave me 3 missed calls and claimed no one was home. Then they asked me to reschedule and pay again for the redelivery.

Courier did call me at 12+pm but I was busy at work and unable to return call. Then close to 3 pm, I received the other 2 missed calls but each call only lasted for 3 secs before I could answered back. Tried to call back courier but refused to answer and even rejected my calls after several tries. Suspected the courier delivered at around 12pm+ since I received the call around that time but I was not around at that time to receive, then has to go other areas to deliver and doesn't want to come back to my area..

Despite all the explaining done, CSO still side with the courier story but not mine. didn't offer any apology or waiver, very disappointed in their service. In the end, decided to request for a refund yst, and now still waiting for their reply z.

Eventually, did you get the sim card? Or did you chose to port to other telco?
