Does Giga has better coverage than Simba?

Giga uses SH network. In general it should be better than Simba (for now).
Simba is said to be ok for some but not ok for others as their network coverage can be spotty.
So is Giga (SH) network better for you or Simba network, it really comes down to your locale and movement patterns.

Remember to use the app and request for a 5G Physical SIM or eSIM.

I was not able to request for the 5G sim card now, it kept showing error and i think can only do it after the plan is officially converted to 5G after ur renewal date.

or did anyone manage to request the 5G sim card already?

Yup, seems its targetted at SIMBA.
Coverage is subjective dependent on your frequented locations.

No leh. My current current renew is on 25th May and I successfully requested for new 5G Physical Sim to be delivered to me on 25th morning.

I wonder if Giga still has a daily 10GB data cap on the 5G plan. I mean, rarely will people hit 10GB a day, but sometimes due to the nature of my work, downloading large files, I may exceed 10GB in a day.

Interesting, been a year or two since i last ported. Didn't realize porting is so fast now

Ordered SIM card on 20th
Received SIM card and activated on 21st

Woke up today to realize my vivifi line has been ported over to GIGA already.

Time to test out starhub at my workplace since singtel is quite bad there

Hmm.. $1 per esim generation based on terms and conditions. But FAQ stated there "may" be a fee incurred for each sim swap.
Unfortunately, we won't really know the true cost of the sim swap till someone itchy hand go try and report back.

Still dislike the way telco handle eSim. It's like they found some other thing to milk and getting people to pay for their system maintenance
I can understand the cost for physical SIM cause its physical goods that need setup and delivery.

Conveniently took the chance for customers to pay for their Opex. 🤡
Similar to charging for Caller ID.

ya our local telcos tend to have the habit of trying to milk stuffs.

I am thinking esim QR code re-generation can be automated hence shouldnt really need a service fee for a human to process on their end. This is based on my past experience with buying tourist travel esim many times online. The qr codes are automatically generated instantly.

If someone generates the code excessively beyond a fair use policy (like more than 5 times a month etc.) then ya can start charging them. Otherwise, hope they can waive it for general users.
