Hmm, just curious.
Registered for GIGA on 21st when i saw the annoucement for 5G and eSIM
I ported over to GIGA on Wednesday 22nd May from VIVIFI.
Till now, even going to town or starhub HQ at UBI also cant see 5G or detected 5G using app (opensignal).
Should i contact GIGA support and request to check if 5G was provisioned for my number or should i just wait?
Plan - 300GB 5G (18.33 SGD)
Phone - Oppo Find X5 Pro
There's a 5G wording on the SIM card and my phone is on their supported list
First time trying out 5G, so not sure if this is normal

same problem with my 13T Pro on eSIM, I contacted giga, first agent directed me to fill a form, second agent helped relay message to "relevant team", both until now no news. 🫠

Oh right, saw your post here yesterday.
Was home entire day yesterday, so i assumed that the 4G on mine was "normal"

Thanks for the update, guess i should also send them a message since it doesn't feel like an isolated case anymore.

your post helped confirmed it is potentially a widespread issue, initially was concerned it is isolated to eSIM.

I'm using an S24 Ultra. My main SIM is Circles connected to 5G. My 2nd SIM is Giga currently at 4G.

If I get a physical 5G replacement SIM from Giga, will the phone be able to connect to both 5G networks at the same time?

I thought giga improved with the recent 5G... so it's still just as bad ah?

I used vivifi before, good network

Probably something wrong with their backend 5G provisioning for existing and new user.

Or they were overwhelmed? Which is kinda shocking if true.

Previously was on vivifi vibe, quite good just that the signal at workplace and journey to work has getting worst. So far quite decent on starhub even on their 4G

I think it's their network.

I stayed Punggol but totally no 5G on giga network here previously, probably some other towns will have better starhub 5G network.

In terms of 5G coverage, Singtel is still leading but the new giga $28 1TB 5G plan with 6GB roaming data is really attractive. GOMO need to step up it's game now.

From Pasir Ris to Raffles..there is no 5G on Giga (though network is stable) !!

Earlier I was using Circles.Life, it was showing 5G most of the time, but signal was pretty bad!

For 5G connections. Only ping lower than 20ms makes sense to me. Speed wise, consumer level won't be able to tell the difference.
