Giga 5G got wonky earlier at around 5pm. Shows signal but no data movement. Was at One North area.

Now at Punggol and not switching back to 5G. Phone is staying at 4G.

Getting 5G is like lucky draw for some people. :s13:

SH 5G is mostly found in malls, outside of malls sometimes 4G/4G+ works better and faster.

One North area is bad for 5G on StarHub network.

Wow. 1.3Gbps. That’s a lot and almost mmWave territory.

My highest 5G speed is around 850Mbps. Capped by iPhone modem. I’m sure you’re on an Android.
yup. using S23 Ultra, should be mmWave, i never check, It was in a mall testing while drinking my yakun

If u want your billing cycle to fall on 1st of the month, u should choose to get a new number from Giga and get it activated on 1st of the month and u can then port in your existing number later anytime.

IMDA has provisioned TDD 26Ghz (band n258) to local telcos in their spectrum handbook.
Not sure if telcos are using it currently, or maybe for closed trials.
Oh nice. Thanks for the info.

Hope iPhone with mmWave no longer just US only by then.

This really suck. In office at One-North with 5G streaming a video and suddenly can have no data even when showing 5G strong signal. Plane mode on and off doesn't help. Need to switch 4G now.

I have both simba and giga in the same phone

can say unequivocably that simba is far worse,
it's only good for shopping mall basements and roaming

Just ported over to Giga last week, on 5G plan but so far only see 4G. Initially thought was my Iphone issue, change to Zym mobile or Singtel SIM card did not have any issue detecting 5G on the same phone. Contacted Giga CS & was advised it’s Iphone issue . Still waiting for their reply after tried to reboot, airplane mode, remove & re-insert SIM card but to no avail.
