I changed to physical SIM card early this month and am using a POCO F5.
Upgraded from the S$10 to the $20 plan.

I noticed that 5G seems to use up date more quickly than when I was on the 4G $10 plan.

And that's why they give u so much data on the $20 plan

I thought M1 always say their is “true 5G” which is the first to introduce 5G SA when their 5G launched as they issued with only 5G SIM Card, then all the iPhone 12 series got remove from M1 5G certified devices as that only support 5G NSA. It’s was an issue back then.
Circles Life leases network from M1, maybe inferior traffic priority and gets kicked to NSA 5G during high user usage.

Yes, 5G does not utilise more data per se but in the sense that more high quality content can be consumed thus, "using more" as compared to 4G. i.e. streaming on 4K instead of 1080p.

Since starhub has both SA and NSA, and M1 & starhub share 5G networks, even M1 did not run any NSA services, it can still share starhub's 5G NSA.

And iPhone 12 supports 5G SA well in China and US. SG carriers want users to upgrade to 13 so did not allow SA on ip12

anyone know if converting to eSIM is able to get back to physical sim. my giga network on my main phone is dead since the eSIM isnt working, and i need it for work purposes, kinda so pissed, paying so much more compared to other lines and they cant hold their sheet together.
They dont even have agent beyond office hours to deal with.

Phone is Oppo Find N3. Switched to giga! 5G using esim 2 weeks ago and have been encountering weird issues with Speedtest, Paylah and reddit using RedReader so far.

Can log into Paylah but it would do nothing scanning a QR code - would only work normally after disabling 5G. This process is somewhat erratic. It sometimes do work when using 5G.

Speedtest app on android would consistently not work during the upload phase. But downloading is very fast and speed is congruent with expected 5G speed.

When viewing reddit videos using RedReader, it would consistently not work. Only does when 5G is disabled.

Anyone having similar issues?

Any one know?
I notice when I change to esim, it always on slot 2. cannot change to slot1. I'm using Oppo FInd X5 pro. Is it Oppo esim only can activate at slot 2?

It will still be in service till you receive and activate your card in giga app.
Only slot 2 for eSIM means that your slot 1 is for physical SIM only and slot 2 dedicated for eSIM.
Phones SIM slots nowadays usually is one of the two, support 2 physical SIM in 1 SIM tray or 1 physical SIM + 1 eSIM in 1 SIM tray.

ya, like dead sim, and their live agent dont even work at all. kinda pissed tbh
Contacting them on FB gets a response if you are lucky when there is someone just nice manning it.
Otherwise, just keep trying.

StarHub 5G coverage still cannot match SingTel 5G. Maybe give them time to improve the coverage, should be better by 2025.
I have better 5G coverage with StarHub over Singtel. Singtel signal is terrible to me. I’m at the west.

Huh? Really. StarHub 5G should be okay but of course cannot match SingTel 5G. Overground with my SingTel SIM ONLY is almost all 5G
Singtel signal is reporting fake 5G. In fact, fake connectivity.

Feedback on Giga today - unbelievable):
1. Was at 湘香湖南菜 Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine at Mosque Street for family dinner 645 - 845 pm with a sister in law leaving for the States.

2. My regular company SingTel mobile couldn’t even give me a signal inside the restaurant throughout the entire dinner (what the heck). Suspect SingTel suffered a failure this evening (but there is no news on it).

3. Same for my brother in law M1- zero signal.

4. Surprisingly his wife’s phone with a lowly $5 Simba was working. Three of the family members (her husband, me and the sis in law who was leaving for the States) even latched on to her hotspot to stress test it and this remarkable $5 simba plan of hers was able to cope.

5. Wife and son Giga were also working well (am pleased and impressed).

6. BTW the food at Xiang Xiang is really fantastic. Much better than 太二. And cheap. Membership is free which gives good discounts on food. Plus if you upfront put a deposit amount, you get additional dollar to enjoy - for example my case I paid $300 and get $350 meal value (and it was utilised to pay for today’s meal and for subsequent meals. There are other even more attractive plans, eg $500 get $600 value)
