need some guidance on installing network printer after changing to SH fibre.

i know my printer's IP address and have changed it accordingly in the Printers options, but i am still unable to 'see' it in my network.

Am i missing something?

Thks!!

most simple way is to just DMZ your network printer and try lol

well i dunno man.. mine works fine. didn't even need to set port. maybe follow the installation guide on the printer all over again?

DHCP LAN: Disabled on Huawei RG HG256s (if you want to connect devices as well on the Huawei RG HG256s, do not disable this)
DMZ: Configure DMZ of your router WAN IP @ 192.168.1.2 in Huawei RG HG256s

Hi, I need to connect both Engenius router and PC to RG HG256, so should not disable DHCP. The Engenius router can provide wireless, but PC can't serve internet with the following settings of RG:

DHCP server: tick Enable
Start IP:192.168.1.2
End IP:192.168.1.254
Lease duration: 1day
Primary DNS server address: 192.168.1.1 or blank (both can let PC serve internet)
Secondary DNS server address: 192.168.1.1 or blank (both can let PC serve internet)

How should I change to solve the problem? Thanks!

can anyone tell me the`Register' LED on your dlink gateway is lighted up solid or blinking? Mine is blinking continuously and I always faced page errors when surfing. The manual says the LED will flash if not connected to a service provider. thanks

Er...i wish to access internet using my mobile via wifi instead of using the mobile plan...sorry if i couldn't make it clearer.
Is the default password in the device's label...i did not reset the original...or should i call Starhub for help?

My pc & other mobile are able to access via wifi...any possibility i can retreive the password from these devices????

Thanks in advance to all!

firstly to access the gateway webpage 192.168.0.1, default username/password is admin/password as stated in manual if you did not change from day 1.

and you can find your SSID and WEP/WPA key/password under Wireless Security tab.

hope this helps

I had my MaxInfinity installed today without VoIP service.

When I read the manual, it says "The Register LED will turn on and continuously working when the VoIP Router is connected to a VoIP service provider. The LED will flash if not connected to a service provider."

My Register LED wasn't even flashing at all but I've no problem surfing wired or wirelessly :) Anybody know why? Thanks.

FYI i'm on Maxinifinity 100mbps. Macbook Pro network utility indicates Link speed 144mbps.

Comments. I'll never get 100mbps as advertised as i do wireless only, but it should accommodate multiple 802N users at one time without slow downs.. i hope.
