Now i am considering if i shld cancel the upgrade to Homehub200. Nothing is installed yet anyway. But the guy who confirmed the choice of channels, initial installation date (for both SH n Netlink) say after this call, if i call back even within 1min to cancel, i still b charged the early termination fee.................

Currently on Starhub fibre 200mpbs plan with dlink 856L router.
Was told if upgrade to 1gbps plan, Router Will be dlink 850type. So far wireless connections are good n speedy.
Is new router better? Or I shd not upgrade ?

Are you on wired or wireless?

To achieve 802.11AC phase 1 speed which is 1.3GBPS the following conditions must be met;

The end user equipment must be equip with 4 antennas with four spatial stream.
The RF signal coverage must be adequate
The RF signal must be -65DB
There must not be any blockages
802.11AC runs on 5GHZ band
Legacy clients (802.11A/B/G) with lower data rate must not be allowed on the WLAN otherwise the network will run on slowest speed.

Helpful but the following needs to be amended:

The RF signal must be -65dB or better/higher.
