Bro, im having a very sad case here....my internet setup right now is like this

Huawei > Aztech Homeplug AV 200MBPS > AzTech Homeplug AV 200MBPS > Computer.

Im getting like the max of speed during the speedtest is like...30mbps download...40mbps upload....= (

what exactly is sad here? considering that the maximum throughput of this 200Mbps plugs are +/- 60Mbps.

creative_vitamin: One located at the wall plug near the modem one at my com.

AwlfulChoc: Really? Thats mean i must upgrade to the 1000mbps for the maximum speed?

overall with my experiences, only the HL115EP meets the mark. the HL280 is another failed product with most users.

I see. than i shall try to save money. because i did EVER suspect that i has maxed out my adapter....and tried doing Dual Signal Injector but failed miserably as i applied my own knowledge in and realize that dual Signal Injector without any chip that is combining the Signal as a single Signal it would never work as the com or modem or chip wont know which signal to accept.

Looking for SH fibre users with Asus N56U to help test some settings, while a beta firmware is in the works...

Hey guys. Open net technician is laying the cables and doing the installation process as i type this post. Im currently using a Starhub broadband internet and would like to ask if anyone can advice me on what plan I should be purchasing? And if theres any other stuff that I need to take note of, like the router and stuff. I do not have much knowledge about the fibre optics. Help would be much appreciated!

P.S hows Starhub's fibre optics? Does fibre optics only increase the speed of the internet or does it improve connectivity too? Cause im currently experiencing intermittent disconnection while gaming.

Oh and also, they are currently installing the box in the living room. Does that mean that my modem in the future will be left in the living room too? How do i connect my desktop computer via wired which is located in my room? :/

cheapest way is ONT ----> long RJ45 ----> RG / Router in your room or the location you want it to be... then split out from there

firmware restriction? i can always give you a page to update firmware but if i am not going to further create new ones, i dont see the reason for 1.

but if your restriction implies to: you cant choose whether to push or not. that... bo bian.

e range is definitely further. those who say by "not much" needs to really reconsider where they place their router to begin with.

some quick questions here:

1) which is better? Dlink or huawei gateway? will be using both wired and wireless setup.

2) necessary to get a 3rd party router to connect to the gateway?

planning to get the home hubbing package. not sure if should wait till IT show. last COMEX, they only bundled a free polaroid camera with the package. heh
