Thinking of purchasing my first SSD, will I see any real world difference between OCZ SSDs series?

Since they are pretty fast, i wonder if we can feel it? (im not aiming for benchmark scores)

I just check in Amazon and Fuwell for the price of Corsair Force GT 240 GB SATA III. $368.73

Exchange rate for amazon is SGD464.10 + Shipping of SGD7, Fuwell in SLS is selling for SGD489...

Can anyone advise me to buy from Fuwell or Amazon? Is it compatible for Macbook pro or do i really need to change to a SSD? Thanks so much

At $225, I won't even consider this brand. Ordering a M4 120gb from linke would be a much better choice at <SGD240... or Amazon at around SGD$220 (Price tends to fluctuate). Price of M4 here? $295? What a joke...

This would be better choice if u bought it near SGD240

Seriously benchmark figures worth nothing. U can't really tell the difference in normal day to day usage, unless all u want is nice benchmark figures....

Reliability/stability is the key point for SSD. Imagine intermittent BSOD/freezing/not detecting issues,this will be affecting u in day to day usage.

Totally agree. However I had an opportunity to test drive a 120GB Sandforce 2281 ssd on the very same rig before this and it was snappier during daily usage for a week without any problems.

Would have got that if not for the pricing and warranty.

X220 on SATA 3gb or SATA 6gb?

If SATA 3gb, no point.

If SATA 6gb, will probably only see massive improvement in sequential transfers and maybe slight increase in 4K.

Imho, only 3 major diff to pick Intel over Ocz.

The nand is made by intel in both cases, though they say the intel ssds get the best nand. You do get 2 years more warranty and "better firmware" but thats not really tangible..

not sure its worth $509/349 = 145% more!
