Ambient temp: 28C

Idle:
All cores ~45-46C
SSD Drives ~ 30C
HDDs ~ 35C
GTX970 ~ 35C

Running Prime95, Blend test 8 cores, temp taken after 5 mins
All cores ~60C
SSD Drives ~ 30C
HDDs ~ 37C
GTX970 ~ 35C

Running Unigine, AAx8, 1920x1200
All cores ~54-55C
GTX970 ~ 79-80C

How ah? GFX not overclocked, only CPU

Unigine is more stressful than gaming leh... Try playing a game for 1 hr non stop and use gpu-z to record ur temps. Then check for max temp.

Thanks, will try that.. but think no diff.. it was 80C also when I was playing BF3 on Ultra.. think its just the characteristic of the card

Need a solution to cooldown my cpu... the temperature is too high and i dont know what is the problem. Using the stock cooler given.

Edited : found out that my system was set to OC mode, turn it back to normal but temp without still at 50~60 degree....

reapply better thermal paste or change the CPU cooler. I have exactly the same core i5 processor as you.

Btw some questions regarding chassis fans. How should I place them? Currently I am using deepcool tesseract which has additional 120mm fan mountings 2 each on top of the chassis as well as on the side panel. Currently I also have 2 Cosair quiet edition AF series and 2 quiet edition SP series which were bought from Lazada. Other than placement, what sort of settings should I apply to them i.e. the rpm. At the moment I have placed the AFs at the side whereas the SPs on the top and selected full for the rpm settings.

it was on idle.

Just change to a 3rd party heatsink and reapply the thermal paste , now on 39 degree idle and 60 degree on load.

U make ur hdd fan fight for air with ur cpu fan at the cpu cooler? Not good.

The top red fan on the HDD should point left into the casing, and remove the green fan. Not a good idea to have two fans on the front panel facing in opp directions.

The reason why I put the green fan there is because the running temperature of the 2 harddisks, drops by about 10 degC. I didn't want the hot air from the harddisk to be used to cool the cpu.

I can add another fan (blue colour) at the top of my casing. Would it help?

air flow does not work this way. You are introducing turbulence and canceling the air flow. It is alright to blow from the HDD to CPU, does the HDD temp reach 1000C to affect the CPU?
