Yes, the other method is to mod the foam darts instead. The arrow theory applies here, you can make the tip heavier (not the whole dart, keep the rest of it light), and it should theoretically fly further and more accurately.

Check out my earlier post on converting other Nerf foam darts into Streamline compatible foam darts:

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=32682788&postcount=21

Very easy to do (and reversible too). You can customise it to suit your requirements. :)
.

thanks bro, dod you know where can i get the spare magazine for the recon cs6?

Great stuff... it must have been alot of work cutting out all the parts to join both guns together, and also routing an external trigger for the DTG too.

I'd reckon you definitely have the most modding experience here! :)

Imho, the Nerf Maverick is by far the best Nerf N-Strike model to start with, it looks cool (like in the Hellboy movie) and can use all types of Nerf foam darts with minimal adjustments. The firing performance is quite fast with good range, and with abit of practice you can easily fire all 6 rounds very quickly and accurately too.

I'd recommend to get the Maverick, you wouldn't regret it. And I bet you'll soon end up buying a second one too... go dual gun combo! :D

are this guns legal to play outdoor?

Yup, legal anywhere. These nerf guns are fun toys designed for kids (but played alot by adults, especially in offices), they are so safe i guess the only danger is if you trip and fall while running. :)

Mavericks come with 6 micro darts, you can buy more in refill packs of 30.

Don't go to Toys R Us, 'cos their stock is very limited. Some outlets even got no stock.

I'd recommend to go to OG or Metro instead, they have good stock selections of Mavericks, Recons, Refill packs etc. If i remember correctly, they might also still have their 20% store anniversary discount, not sure if that promo is still on though. :)

The Great Office War!

Okay, since there are a number of new Nerfers here, i guess no Nerf thread is ever complete without including the ultimate Nerf movie:

The Great Office War!

I guess from the looks of it, most Nerfers on this forum are more of collectors than hardcore players or modders.

In my case, i'm more of a hobby nerf collector too, don't really mod or play. At most abit of "cubicle nerf skirmish" at my office when the mood strikes, thats about it, good for some laughs to relieve stress. :s13:
