Imho, the Nerf Maverick is by far the best Nerf N-Strike model to start with, it looks cool (like in the Hellboy movie) and can use all types of Nerf foam darts with minimal adjustments. The firing performance is quite fast with good range, and with abit of practice you can easily fire all 6 rounds very quickly and accurately too.

I'd recommend to get the Maverick, you wouldn't regret it. And I bet you'll soon end up buying a second one too... go dual gun combo!

We want something like the Magstrike. Just that we find it very ugly. Lol.

What about longshot? Does woodlands metro have them? I am going there later to buy.

singapore dont ahve longshot YET. maverick is nice.. but if you plan on playing with gf.. i suggest the dart tag. both of u can shoot each other. the gun doesnt look so cool but its more worth it. im getting it next week haha

Hi barrabran, all of my Nerf Vulcan VP boxes have already been collected by my group, so i have none spare in hand at this moment.

Since the Nerf Vulcan is now avaliable at Toys R Us at Jusco, JB. No need to order from the states anymore. You can just take a quick drive across the causeway to buy 'em. Its retailing at RM$199.90... so after currency conversion, it'll be around SGD$83+.

Note that the Vulcans from Jusco are the standard box versions (comes with only 1 x 25 Dart Belt). For more ammo belts, you'll still have to order from the states.

Btw, if you are going to Jusco, JB to purchase the items, look out for the Recons there too, 'cos they stock the special "Bonus" version that comes with a blue sharpshooter scope.

I see. yeah i heard that they have it just cross the causeway but the problem is that i don't drive yet, only ride so it'll be kinda difficult to bring that parcel back i guess. oh well, i guess i'll find another way then thanks anyway.

Last i went to woodlands metro, they said that their nerf products were out of stock. but that was before the magstrike arrived at robinsons. that's all i know.. oh, and it was 55 at robinsons.

there are plenty of hyperstrike dart tag guns,in metro and taka....i dunno where to get mag strike anymore.....use to have at taka but not anymore......btw jst to inform people...

check if your nerf set has bullets!!!! many arseholes have been stealing darts from boxes.....and many stores wont reduce the price even though its been ripped.....so get your money's worth and choose a full set =)

Hopefully the local dept stores will replenish their stock soon, i also have friends looking for Nerf stuff too and they are reporting limited stock everywhere.

Just to note, the "Magstrikes" seen at Robinsons are called Iron Man Blasters, these are re-painted versions for the Iron Man movie promo and packaged quite differently from actual Nerf Magstrikes (which are currently not avaliable in Singapore).

The main differences between the 2 versions are the Iron Man Blasters only come with 1 x 10 round clip (not 2 x 10 round clips in MagStrikes), only packaged with Micro Darts (not the original Tagger Darts), and does not come with Dart Tag vests.

I'm looking to get more MagStrike clips from the states, 'cos using only 1 clip at a time is a real hassle, should at least have 2 or more clips per gun.

Btw, for the Nerf Vulcan, if you can wait, Toys R Us in Singapore are planning to bring them in by end of this year or early next year. So it'll be more convenient to buy 'em then.

Ytd I went to Metro at Woodlands. They only have the "Complete 2 Player Set". I think is Dart Tag series 1. And they sell alot of Micro Dart Tag ammo. Is this type of dart tag used for Marverick?

And Marverick is only available in Metro Paragon. Sengkang Metro also dont have.

I managed to ask the metro sales ppl to bring in 2 marverick and 30x ammo from Metro paragon.

Btw, there are 2 main types of Nerf foam darts refills, the Micro Dart Pack and the Tagger Dart Pack.

Tagger Darts have velcro tips and are the default ammo for dart tag games. Nerf Mavericks can use Tagger darts too, though Tagger darts are slightly longer. You'll just have to push the Tagger darts abit further into the Mavericks barrel chamber.

To fully eliminate any jamming of the Mavericks rotating barrel, many nerfers also file away part of the front spacing to allow all the darts to cycle freely.

Now my gf so crazy about this Maverick loh. Cos last time she is in NPCC. They fire .33 revolver, maybe thats why she is in love with this Maverick revolver. Lol.
And she intends to mod the Maverick when we get it this Sunday. Lol.

I am more of a fan for the long shot.

I intend to spray paint the Mavericks into full black like my other guns.

I saw that recall info too... but luckly its not for the Nerf Recon version sold in Singapore, 'cos we all got the latest "facelifted" version with the black rear piston cap.

Note that they are recalling the first versions sold from Nov 2007 to August 2008 in the USA, which had an exposed orange air piston tube (no black rear piston cap):

Anyways, i was much more interested in their Nerf Recon stock statistics during just that 10 mth period, they actually had 330,000 units in circulation! Thats alot of Nerf Recons...

The Maverick will definitely not jam with Micro darts (those fit perfectly), but if you use Tagger Darts, sometimes if you don't insert them in properly, one or two might jut out slightly and it'll stop the 6-shot cartridge from rotating.

Therefore some Maverick owners just trim away abit of the front inside frame so that Tagger darts can cycle round freely. Once you get your Mavericks you'll know what i mean, anyways not to worry 'cos its can be solved easily.

it looks ok but only shoots one bullet....that why i integrated a hyperdart =)

Though if i do such detailed re-paints, it'll be purely for movie prop display, so functionality would be a secondary factor.

Hi guys, me and my gf just bought 2 recons and 2 mavericks. The mavericks are available at Metro paragon, the recons are available in BHG Century Square(Tampines).
We tried afew combinations of ammo + guns.

Maverick + Micro Dart = Good
Maverick + Streamline Dart = Good + Painful
Recon + Micro Dart = BAD BAD BAD. IA IA. Jam.

We are thinking of buying Tagger Micro Dart to fit inside our recon. Cos our recon only got 6 rounds. Not fun enough. Lol. If jam in the the Recon chamber, then we will file narrow the tip.
Dono where to get the extra magazine clips for the Recon.
Would you be buying anything from Habros? Maybe we can like tag along you.

PS: I just use normal spray paint can which is available in any hardware shop. Just spray in layers.
1st layer thin layer.
Spray 2nd layer when 1st layer.
Do this until you get the effect you want.
