Hoya has much better scratch resistant and longer lasting coating. None of my hoya lenses past and present has a single naked eye scratch. Not even hairline. U need to go under microscope to see the finer scratches if any. Not even those spots and dots so prevalent on other lens brands. Hoya lenses only grow yellowish with age but rarely scratched. I hope they will be in business for a long time and don't drop in quality.
