I made a pair of progressive specs just about a month ago at a shop near my place. First time wearer of progressives. It was an in-house lens. Have a few questions though:

1) Image on the left with the glasses on is not fully sharp. Originally, I thought that it was me getting used to wearing glasses, but it hasn’t really improved.
2) in the last few days, my left eye seems more tired than the right. I’ve noticed a floater too.
3) what’s the general idea of going back to the same optometrist? Do they fix lenses if it isn’t exactly suitable? Or is it just another charge to make new a new lens? Hindsight (hurhur) says that they weren’t very friendly.
4) I’m off to Japan in a few weeks. Should I think of making a pair with jap branded lenses? Like Hoya or Nikon?

Made my very first pair of specs more than 5 years ago...
low deg 100-200, mainly for slightly blurry vision due to Astig, but don't really have a problem not wearing it so end up being lazy and seldom wear

But now i think really need to wear one due to presbyopia.
Should I get progressive spec?
Daily mainly is in front of computer , currently not wearing specs when I'm out or driving (Office lens enough?)
But I do notice distant objects are a little blurry even though I can still see.

Although not wearing specs most of the time, words on the monitor screen appear a little blurry (but still can read).
Biggest problem is when using mobile phone, I have to put it at an arm's length away to read messages

Hi there,

I am wearing tokai asagi lens since 2018.
Will it be helpful it is buy another fl-41 rose tint clip on to prevent headache and eyestrain?

Anyway where can I get the new shemir glasses that is better than tokai?

Hello specs pros bros and sis… I have been using zeiss single vision lens for many many years.

Wanting to try an alternative lens and realised that while in our neighbouring countries, they have quite a number of distributors carrying Nikon lens but not so here in SG. Any reason why is this so?

And I heard from the opticians overseas that Nikon 1.74 is alot alot thinner than Zeiss 1.74. Any reviews on nikon lens recently and are there any shops here in SG here in which I can make price comparison with?

Why not return to the shop

I did. We re-did testing and it was confirmed to be the correct power. Some adjustments made to how the glasses sit on the face and it’s better now. Not perfect, but much better.

Hi all, curious qns any1 encounter scratches on new lenses and after change to new ones, there's still scratches? Is this manufacturer of lens issue or optical shop issue?

My frame broke and I want to reuse my lenses. Wondering if there is such a service that can help me with cutting the lense to fit onto a new frame?

Hi, my I know comparing Zoff Seiko progressive vs Lenskart Tokai neuroscience progressive which one is better? Currently I am using Essilor comfort progressive lens and everything is good but price is abit steep for 1.74index.

Am looking to get some sunglasses for me and my family to claim under corp insurance.
Understand that to be eligible, it has to be a prescription from Optometrist.
Anybody has any recommendations for places whereby I can purchase normal sunglasses but with a prescription in the invoice/notes?
